The clause is that Maidana can not knock him down more then once in the fight........:rofl:hi: WELL? :smoke
Dont be surprised at all by a coming catch weight clause boys... could very well be 144. Learning well from his catchweight king daddy.
this fight would be bad for broner's health and career....for example, look what maidana did to ortiz.
Put Maidana in there against somebody who can box and he'll lose 9/10.. Wake up people cuz Maidana will reach the gatekeeper status in no time. Broner beats his ass.
Yeah but Alexander is a natural 140/147er who uses his feet. Broner is really a superfeatherweight who doesn't move at all. My point is that you can't just stand there against someone like Maidana and expect to win...especially when he probably won't be able to hurt him.
Totally agree. To beat Maidana is not hard when you have a) a good chin, and b) footwork. Broner has slow feet, and he barely moves them. He better ask Floyd to donate some footwork sessions if he wants to come to the dance with Maidana.
How is Broner a SFW when he could not make the weight against Escobedo ? Broner is beefed up and he weighs 150 pounds on fight night. Most Jr.WW fighters are the same weight.
Superfeatherweight, lightweight...same difference. My point is that he has moved up two weight classes and will be facing someone who punches like a solid Juniormiddleweight. That's a problem for someone who will be a stationary target and isn't a devastating puncher.
I kinda disagree. Maidana lacks a respectable defence and his chin is not elite. Not that i expect Broner to KO him but i think he has enough to make Maidana respect him and hurt him if the opportunity comes. By all means it would be a difficult night for Broner. I just dont see Maidana as dangerous as some here do. FFS he only got a MD against Eric Morales :-(
Broner, is suppose to beat "Maidana"...he's faster, has a lot of power, and can take a punch...but i dont think he's been in the ring with a fighter that can take just about anything you ditch out. Maidana, has been beaten but lets consider those fights...I believe that this fight would allow us to see what "Broner" brings to the table.
