Broner hasn't proven he has a punch at 147, and he hasn't proven he can take a punch at 147. he hasn't shown great movement or footwork in his last 2 or 3 fights either.

If he hasn't got a punch at 147, if he can't take a punch at 147 and if he doesn't apply better movement and footwork then he gets beat by maidana, Maidana will answer these questions about Broner. This fight needs to happen.

What has Maidana proven at 147???

When has he ever shown decent footwork or defense???

You must have a repressed memory of Alexander kicking his ass with EASE.

Maidana has won his last 3 at 147 by stoppage with 3 Kd's. Broner "the Boxer" is the one who needs the Improved footwork and Movement, if he stands still vs Maidana like he did with paulie it will play into Maidana's game.

You keep mentioning the Devon fight, broner fights nothing like him, no running, no constant holding like a coward. Do you expect Broner to fight like Devon vs Maidana?. It might be his best option but i can't see him changing his style over night. But we shall see.

I thought it was a clause saying that Broner couldn't throw body shots.

He's proven that he can take punches from hard punchers and knockout tougher guys than Broner. In other words, he's proven more than Broner has...

I agree that far too many people are using the Alexander fight as an example of how Broner will handle Maidana. They are different in almost every way...except that they both work behind the jab.

This forum was going crazy on how Maidana was going to 'smash Khan to bits'. Same is happening now.

That being said, Broner isn't as good as is being billed, and Im not so sure hes more effective then Khan is (but without some of Khans flaws, so its a trade off). So this fight might actually be tougher then it should be for Broner, but Im leaning towards Broner having the talent and judges to get the W.

This fight will tell a lot though. If Broner is the goods he will get the W. If he has a life and death fight (ala Khan) it will help to further outline just how short he falls from the image of him being the next Floyd.

    Good fight, cant wait.
