If there is no rematch clause then Maidana can just say, "no." But Haymon is a smart business man. I would be shocked if there was no clause.

By the way, what option is more lucrative for Maidana, if Floyd is going with Khan.

A lot of things happen in boxing. He can win a rematch. He could lose and put on a better performance. He can still be a good pro but he won't be that dude that he thought that he would be. We have to stop judging these guys based off of hate. Fighters don't lose and call it a career. Very few do that. Broner just won't be that dude should he lose the rematch.

If he says no, then he loses the title.

Broner is worthless to GBP unless he avenges his loss. They know Broner aint worth **** they are just cashing him out for the biggest payday possible. If broner wins its a bonus but they know he will get fucoed up sooner or later.

Where in my post that you quoted there did you see anything based off hate? :?

That's just how it will be, if Broner goes 0-2 against Maidana (and I did say if, not that it was certain) then his options for a payday that isn't a step down become limited and with undefeated clout gone he is no longer A-side in most negotiations, ie with Malignaggi for a rematch. That's all I was saying.

Malignaggi-Broner was much closer than Maidana-Broner. I scored it a draw, if I remember correctly.

Malignaggi is clearly more deserving of a rematch against Broner, than Broner is of a rematch against Maidana.

So why didn't Paulie exercise his rematch clause?

it has everything to do with champion

the champion usually has a rematch clause... not the challenger.. these are basics of a contract...

having said that broner did not give paulie a rematch so why should maidana?

even if i agree with what you are saying even then why should maidana give gim a rematch? the fight wasn't even close... maidana won comfortably... also let's talk ponce de leon... people think ponce de leon got robbed...

True....however, I would prefer seeing a Maidana rematch or have him match up with a speedy power puncher as Thurman!!!

    Ouch!!!!!!!

Who told you Ponce wanted a rematch?

Championship fights do not come with built in rematch clauses.

Malinaggi didn't have a rematch clause..
