"My big brother got his legacy, I got mine," Broner said. "I want to see him retire undefeated. I don't want to hand him a loss."

"It's not about money," Broner declared. "I ain't hungry, I'm fine."

He ain't hungry. He fine. He ain't got to fight Mayweather. That's his big bro.

He don't want to hand him a loss. lmao. does this qualify as ducking?

I'm not sure a young prime fighter refusing to fight the ageing past prime fighter he has borderline brown nosed for ages qualifies as a duck

Why the hell are they trying to get Broner to fight Mayweather anyway. The powers that be just want the money from a fight like that.Just like they did with Juda

It doesnt sound like a duck to me , Its pretty much the same When Roy rufused to fight Holyfield because he knew he was not going to get much credit for it . BTW Broner needs to really focus on Malignaggi....

I can see Floyd getting pretty toasty about that comment. Remember how much of a ***** he became to Ward when Ward said he was going to support Guerrero?

What makes Catch Broner's big brother? Are they close friends? Are they related?

I think Broner doesn't want to fight him because his style so closely resembles Money May's. If they fought each other, they wouldn't know what to do. It would be a fight full of counters and feints most likely. Styles make fights, and unlike Canelo vs Mayweather, which pretty much everybody wants to see, some people might not want Broner and Mayweather to fight.

Malignaggi said that Broner basically tries to copy Mayweather's style. He even talks like Mayweather, and acts like Mayweather. So it would be like fighting yourself I guess, but yet many have been criticized for not taking fights, like Roy Jones not fighting DM or even Calzaghe earlier in his career. Broner's actually saying straight up he doesn't want to fight Mayweather. I think this creates a double standard. What's worse, Roy Jones not fighting DM or Broner saying he doesn't want to fight Mayweather?
