Still young and learning. He has clearly studied Mayweather quite a bit, but IMO, he doesn't/didn't have the ability to pull off the style of a 130-135lbs Mayweather. So when people say, they find it hard to understand why he has chosen the heavier version of Mayweather to study. Well basically, he couldn't match Mayweather at the light weights. Even now, you can argue that Mayweather has him beaten in almost every area you can think of.
Yes there are similarities. It reminds me of how Kobe wanted to play just like Jordan and took most of his moves while not being as good. Broner can be great in his own right if he fights the best.
