Not sure what the hype is about.

He has had one test , just one . That was against Ponce de Leon and if you actually watch the fight Broner is constantly beaten to the punch by a past prime natural super bantamweight.

In all honesty the super featherweight division is probably the weakest division right now after the heavyweights.

There are fighters at feather such as JMP and Jhonny G who he would need to beat to even get the recognition he is now , and I dont think he beats Lopez.

I wouldnt let him anywhere near the lightweights.

Fight someone good , and please dont mention his name within the same sentence as Floyd .

    peace

i agree he is at a weak weight

i also think that dude he beat for the belt should never have been in the same ring as a title fight

if nobody moves up to 130 Broner should have an easy stay there, if any of the guys at 126 see an opportunity they may try to move up and take Broner

I think Broenr looked poor in the fight vs that bum for the belt, couldnt keep the guy off his chest, got hit too much for a defensive guy, yes he had a nice KO but the guy went down and didnt try to get up

im waiting to see him in vs a tough fighter who will come inside

    Lopez , Jhonny even Caballero.

These are all smaller men , but are way better than anything at super.

I dont think he should be fighting any of the lightweights yet. too soon.

He is not grunting like he used to. Looks more coordinated and has improved on his offense and defense.
He is 22 and is gaining popularity fast.
I hope he has a rematch with Ponce but it will probably not happen.

Weren't you the idiot who started a thread claiming Floyd was actually requiring Cotto to fight him at 150Lbs even when he AND Cotto both came out and said the fight was at 154Lbs? :patsch

Now that is Floyd IN the ring and you still found a way to hate? Hmmmmm :huh

i think 126-130 are now somewhat weak after being strong for almost a decade. Floyd, Corrales, Morales, Barrera, Pac, marquez, Hamed, and solid second stringers like Jesus Chavez, Kevin Kelley, and Carlos hernandez were historically just a great group. Caballero and Broner are looking good against weak opposition. Broner could still be great but I'm not sold on him in any way shape or form after the De Leon fight, as I consider DeLeon a really BAD boxer who deserved a lot of decision loses like against Penalosa, but probably should have got the W or draw against Broner.

Litzau and Caballero are the worst. Every single Caballero fight that did not end in a knock out I feel like you could make the claim the other guy won - very awkward and terrible style.

I include Juanma Lopez in the group of guys who should be second tier but have somehow been considered elite. Luevano is one of the worst belt holders I've ever seen: he did nothing well, a completely average tall guy.

To be fair, with the kind of weight Rios is putting on, he should probably be up at welter or something ridiculous now. Goodness. Can't make the weight on your first belt defense! He is a much much much bigger guy than a lot of these others, if not in overall height at least in density and ring presence.
