I was thinking about this exact same thing the other night I don't think Broner will ever be as steller defensive fighter as his idol Mayweather and he does not seem to have the foot movement to make the most of that shoulder roll so he might as well use his speed to go along with Roach teaching him now to throw more especially from different angles

I think this is the best broner right now, its not like we can turn him to paul williams work rate type of fighter.

This, this, this and this again.

Doubt Roach would put himself in such a mess in the first place. But, if he did, it wouldn't last a week.

    Too much emphasis on trainers.

Broner needs to concentrate on his attitude, commitment and work rate more than anything.

"To be number 1, you have to train like number 2"
The problem is that Broner seems to think that he is number 1 already.

Mayweather Sr. or Roger Mayweather would be better for him.

Broner's offense is fine. He's got quick hands and throws nice combinations, he sets up traps and counters pretty decent. His issue is his defense. His reflexes are good but he cannot block punches right, people have been splitting his guard for a while. He needs to tighten up his defense, Broner does NOT need Roach.

2 of his fighters have been knocked out cold in recent years. Provo had no answers against Algieri. He's a little TOO offensive minded. He fits well with Pacquiao and Cotto though.

Broner needs to be with a trainer than can teach footwork and defense. Broner's offense is fine although his work rate could improve.
