Broner is like 25? And he's already fought much better opposition than Golovkin. I don't see Broner as an all that good of a fighter, but at least he's fighting some tough ass fighters 10-17lbs above his debut weight class. Golovkin is babysitting Middleweight waiting for Welterweights and Jr Middleweights to come up. Hell, he's even expressed interest in fighting Mayweather and Pacquiao, a former Super Featherweight and a guy who started at 108lbs...come on.

I mean, FFS, look at their last 3 fights, and look at their next fight.

Broner: Malignaggi, Maidana, Molina(weak). Next: Matthysse.

Macklin isn't a name on his record? How quickly we forget.

Anyway, lets see how GGG does against Geale before any mention of 168.

Sorry, every one of GGG opponents in the past 1.5 years including Adama who fought a good fight with Geale is better than anyone Broner has beat.

Froch-GGG was under negotiation until IBF ordered Groves rematch, but now Hearn wants to match him with Chavez or Kessler. Kessler is a fight K2 wants, will have to see what happens. K2 actually signed the Chavez contract at 168, it was Chavez who declined. The GGG-Rosado fight (GGG pulling up 154s derpderp) only happened because E-rod (Wards opponent) fight at 168 did not happen because E-rod pulled out at the 11th hour.

Your lack of knowledge of the business workings of the sport is shocking sometimes.

    You're an RJJ fan. Great.

How hungry was RJJ? Hungry enough to challenge himself and go from light middleweight to heavyweight right? In the end I guess he paid for it. but still.

GGG won't even go up EIGHT pounds. Not even 8.

Golovkin has never weighed over 170lbs in the ring and has only weighed 170 once. All of the top JMW's fight between 171-175 though including Trout, Angulo, Lara, Canelo, Andrade, Martyrosian, Kirkland.

They did not give fight night weights against Adama in Monaco, keep lying.

It's not lack of knowledge. It's more that I'm tired of people making excuses for GGG's **** resume, and then proceed to give him fantasy wins over everyone from 154-175.

There was a thread about how he was the greatest MW since Hagler just the other day.

You guys can keep making excuses for him. But the fact is he's 32. And by the way it's looking, the best people he'll ever had fought would are C fighters on a world scale.

Even though they have signed 2 168 pound fight contracts that the other side pulled out of. Ok.

Do two different people post on your account? You seem to flip back and forth between making good posts, and posting utter garbage.

By that logic every time MVC posts one of his ridiculous Floyd worship threads, everyone should make yet another Mayweather troll thread.

And was the thread in question "greatest" or "best"? Because there is a difference. Greatest is a measure of resume, "best" is open to conjecture.

Macklin was 1-3 going in to the Golovkin fight.

Geale is another one who isn't that good, he lost to Barker and in his last 3 fights has beaten Garth Wood(lol) and an old Anthony Mundine who was destroyed by the smaller Clottey.

Mack was 2-2, with a debatable loss to Sturm and decent effort against SGM.

Geale's loss to Barker could have gone the other way.

They're decent enough contenders to have faced, at any rate. Not elite...but a step up from guys like Adama and Ishida.

I never meant this as a response thread. Im just mentioning it contributes to my debate, that while GGG might be the truth, the way he's hyped is incredible.

I have to go, but before that I want to make one thing clear. I am NOT a GGG hater. At all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Im not saying he's not the real deal, and Im not saying hes an overhyped bum waiting to be exposed. Im well aware of his talent, and the potential that he has on a world level. I'm just saying I want proof. I want to see it. I don't want there to be a shade of doubt in my mind about him, The day he steps up and shows it, I'll be first in line giving him his props. And while I won't be able to say that I was someone who knew since the beginning, I'll be able to say I found out when it mattered, and when it was proven. Book it.

    Peace yall.

now he's stepping up with Daniel Geale, he is a true top three or four fighter in the middleweight division and it should be a hard and difficult test for GGG.
