I know. Thats why I said that I thought the offer of 40 millions was false. TMZ is know for stretching the truth. Truth be told, I don't think Broner will make 40 million in his whole career. Another thing is that he knows that his promoter would of told him No, so he save face and told Jay-Z no himself. I'll tried of people like 50, and Jay-Z "Trying boxing". They fit in the boxing world like Roy Jones fits in the rap world.atsch
That's what I thought. He can make a million or two a fight if he remains popular, but he's never going to be like Mayweather or Pacquiao. Getting beat up by Maidana showed us that. He might fight twenty times in the next ten years of his career, so it's possible he could make that kind of money over a career, but nobody is going to give him that just to sign.
Yep, just like with Quillin. Haymon is really hurting the opportunities of some of the fighters he represents. His deal with NBC better be awesome.
Don't know if it's Haymon putting a hold to it, or Broner being Broner again. All in all it's laughable to think he's worth about 4 million average per fight in the coming 5 years
$1.5 million for Malignaggi $1.25 million for Molina $1 million for Taylor $300k for Escobedo Don't know what he got for Maidana but it couldn't be more than 2 million.
i'm glad Broner didn't take it. hopefully he gets ktfo in his next couple fights and never sniffs that kinda of money.
I can't see Broner turning down 40 million without very good reason. We don't actually know the in and outs, but surely there must of been something in it that he thought wasn't too great financially. Maybe in the contract it had something where if he had any PPV fights that rocnation took a huge chunk. I don't know, but turning down 40 million would be crazy if it's just for five years.
