I cannot see Paulie winning this one. He is a quality boxer, with plenty of heart, much more experience at this level, but the odds are stacked against him for a reason.

I thought Broner looked open against Rees, but ultimately he was too strong. Same might be the case tonight.

Broner's body shots are his best punches IMO. As good a boxer as he is, when he starts to mix it downstairs not many will be able to hack it. And for the record I can't stand the guy.

i have a feeling that Paulie is going to out class Broner tonight and when i log on in the morning the words Broner and Hype job will be entwined on the general forum. Maybe my dislike for the idiotic illiterate Broner is clouding my judgement but Paulie has HOF skills and a great beard. Broner is moving up and Paulie is a smart fighter, if he can frustrate Broner and just box him on the outside he can get the UD.

Broner looked far from great against Rees and Malignaggi aint no Gavin Rees, he has been in with the best and they were all prime. Cotto, Hatton,Khan,Diaz and he gave a great account of himself every time.

Paulie is at the end of his career so this may be his last payday but i would love him to win tonight. Broner is bad for boxing, the guy is a bloody fool.Mayweather wannabe!!

    WAR Paulie!!!

Paulie got battered in both the Hatton and Khan fights, hardly won a round and admitted himself how poor he was in those fights.

I hope he performs better tonight and at worst gives Broner a tough competitive fight.

Edit*, Won 1 round vs hatton and none vs Khan.

Good luck. Can't see any of those happening but i wouldn't mind, it would mean the fight was entertaining and shocking.

True mate, khan was all wrong for him Paulie couldn't handle the speed , Hatton was prime and a wrecking machine in those days. I suppose I was jibbering in my last post, I meant to say Paulie is so much better than most give him credit for, I hate to see someone like him get written off so easily.

No worries m8 i agree with your assessment of Paulie being underrated slightly but was just pointing out that Paulie has let himself down (his own words as well) in big fights before.

( i think he blamed his trainer for the Hatton fight, and for the Khan fight just got out worked because of the speed and size i think he said)

In fairness to Paulie he's looked alot better at 147 than he ever did at 140,with the exception if the Cano fight he hasn't really put a foot wrong and picked up a world title in the mean time.He has improved but I still don't think it will be enough to beat Broner, wel see what happens anyway its an interesting one.

Can't win if you don't try m8, if you can afford it, then its worth a go as it makes the fight more interesting.

I would have done something similar myself but saving up for a holiday and i doubt the wife would have been happy if i pissed money away on bets Ha.

Yep looks much better at 147 that he did at 140 vs Khan no doubt, was just pointing out to a poster who said he put up a good account of himself vs Hatton and Khan that he really didn't. (Paulie's own words)

No big deal as I've made similar mistakes in making posts before as you get to involved in sticking up for someone that you go over the top with praise sometimes Ha.

Malignaggi will get a similar beat down from the one he received from Khan, but the main difference been is that Broner has the power to hurt Malignaggi.

Broner has a lot of hype for a reason.

Anyone else feel that Paulie is slightly past it? Still hoping he can pull it off.
