I'm pulling for Broner because of Gamboa's tendency to get himself off balance. But what's your opinion?
Until this week I thought Gamboa would take it, but since he didn't attend any press conference and Rios made fun of him, now I think Broner takes it.
I think it is pretty even based on Broners size for 135 and Gamboas size. There would be a huge size difference but Gamboa just about evens it out with his power and speed. This would be a great fight because it would be a true 50-50 fight.
Gamboa is up at 135 now. True we've yet to see Broner in action at 135 but I believe he would still take it.
Gamboa is the worst style Broner can face. Broner is just a big dude though with a massive wingspan so he would have a physical advantage.
We've probably seen the best of Gamboa while Broner is still improving. While they both have tremendous athleticism and power, they especially Gamboa has shown a new type of patience and experience and I think that experience might be the difference in this fight. Despite showing a different side as a boxer instead as a desperate ko artist, outboxing the taller, defensive minded Broner would not be the best way for Gamboa to beat Broner. He would have to bring the old Gamboa back and put pressure on Broner. Broner has many advantages over Gamboa, but experience is not one of them. I think it will be much closer than many think. It won't be easy for either one, but right now I'd give the edge to Yuriorkis by SD.
