http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/32147141 sounds like this is the fight he's getting involved in, which is a poor fight imo, compared to brook. Why not fight him 18months back when he had a belt at WW? easy UD for khan in my opinion.
A decent, competitive fight, and certainly a better opponent than Algieri. Broner is fast and has skills so this is no walkover for Khan.
Good opponent for Khan, cant criticise Khan for this opponent. Of course there are opponents that I would rather see, Broner is a top fighter and he is a good enough opponent for anyone so I would be very happy to see that fight.
He's gone from fighting shot welterweights to LWWs who are **** at WW, then again it's a more credible opponent than Algeri, but if he had the ***** he says he has he'd fight a legit welterweight. Probably one of those fights where most are hoping they both knock each other out...
Khan would batter him for a ud12, the build up would be good for a laugh two guys who are delusional going at it in every press conference
Broner has stopped nobody at 140, let alone 147. I dislike Khan, but he puts a one sided beatdown on Adrien.
If I'm wrong then pull this back up and hammer me but... This talk of a Broner fight is total rubbish in my opinion, just a little damage limitation for avoiding a world title fight with Brook. I predict we will get this from Khan .... "we tried to make the Broner fight but negotiations went on to long, I don't think he ever wanted the fight and I need to fight before Ramadan so in the end Chris Algieri stepped in and took the fight, that's what a warrior Algieri is, he went 12 rounds with Manny Pacquiao, it's a tough fight...." I think I'll be rather close :think
Just shows how far Khan has gone that people are criticising him for fighting Broner. The guy is a young, with a very high profile and is highly ranked (although in a division below).
Khan deserves to be criticised as it's another smaller fighter who at 147 doesn't carry much power. It's another tactical move by Khan to avoid any legit hard hitting welterweight.
broners not a bad fight, but he's not really done much since LW days, other than winning an iffy decision against paulie, and getting battered by maidana. If the brook fight wasn't on the table then fine, but the brook fight is so much better than broner.
I agree, but if Brook is to beat Rios (an opponent of similar level to Broner) and Khan is to beat Broner - that really sets up their fight as something huge.
