Broner vs Linares & DeMarco

I'm still on the Linares bandwagon. I dunno how the hell DeMarco stood up after eating all those shots. I think either one of those guys stops Broner late, and pretty brutally too.

 

Difficult to say, being at 135. I have to say off the top off my head, I'd pick Broner in both and think that Broner vs. Linares at 135 would be one of the more kick ass fights out there.

 

I absolutely agree....DeMarco was getting cracked in that fight early on. Would LOVE to see a rematch. Hope it happens.

either one would be good. intresting to see what broner does. i personally wouldnt mind him staying at 130

 

Maybe he'll beat DeMarco on points and Linares would put a very tough fight with him..

But i'd still pick Broner to win against Linares either by late stoppage or UD.. :rasta

 

Linares would baffle him with his speed and Demarco's pressure spells problems...the kind Broner thinks he is.

 

Broner(at his rate of progression) destroys both.

Maybe one or two more fights.

He'd most likely just outclass and take DeMarco apart. Linares would be Broners toughest fight to date. Linares reminds me too much of Khan, but they gotta realize sometimes when boxing ain't working they gotta go back to their roots and become the ko puncher. Athletically gifted fighters, but not smartest. When they start gassing both Khan and Linares start panicking. Only way I see Linares winning or making it close is if he makes Broner come forward, keep him at a distance, and land hard shots to the body. Linares very talented but he's his own worst enemy. If he can't pace himself forget about it.

 

I'm not sold on Broner. Unless he improves dramatically he's always gonna be second level. Ponce is an A list fighter, but he's much smaller and he still imho beat up Broner pretty good. I have a feeling he's just one of those guys who's gonna hit his ceiling quickly and hard.

 

Pretty much on point, I think Demarco has the size to trouble him with his pressure though. Linare to me is a lot sharper and quicker, it would be an awesome fight for sure.

 

Well said. Not enough people realize this. You can only run away or maintain distance for so long against a pressuring inside fighter. Eventually, you're going to have to trade instead of running. I would argue that running away to get your distance gets you more tired than to just stand and fight.

Broner would **** linares who is a small lightweight and doesn't have much power at 135.. you ain't gonna outbox bronwr being the smaller Guy... specially with no pop.. demarco took linares best shots and kept coming.. power is not his strength .. give linares massive pop and he would be crazy.. but God doesn't give you all the gifts.

Can't wait to see him against the top 2 Mexicans at LW demarco and vazquez
