My first ESB thread. After reading ESB for a while it was time to join.

Who do you think would win between prime SFW - E Morales and A Broner?

Broner is looking very impressive and Morales is a legend.

Morales. No doubt. Morales was too tough and would have dragged Broner into deep waters where he wouldnt be able to swim

Morales prime wasn't at SFW, having said that he would still easily defeat Broner.

Morales was in his prime at 122-126 or about 1997-2003. He whooped Floyd in sparring in 2000. Just goes to show how good he was in those years. Guys like Raheem, Diaz, and Maidana were lucky to not face a prime version.

I dont think Morales was past his prime at SFW when beating Chavez, Hernandez etc He looked unlucky against Barrera and beat Pacquiao

Hell, Diaz and Maidana are lucky to have gotten the decision against a shot Morales...let alone fighting a prime Morales.

At 130lbs, a past it Terrible beats seven shades of **** outta Broner.

Prime Morales would take him to school even with that shoulder roll

Prime Morales is the most overrated boxer on ESB, aside from MAB/Pacman his resume depth is patch and he is 2-4 against MAB/Pac. He also got a gift in the first fight against an Old Espadas and was pretty easily outboxed by Raheem (who before the excuses start didn't have any size advantage being a FW the year before). Junior Jones, Smaller Ayala, Injured Chavez, Chi and McColough are very solid wins on his resume but all too often he went life and death with them

Morales is great but he's also overrated

All that said too early to be putting Broner in this type of match up, let's see him step up in class first and then talk about him in A Class company

He hardly has any stoppages at 130, I think his best was 122-126 and he had decent power there but the more he moved up the less power he had. He couldnt hurt guys as much at 130 as at 122-126.

Sure he doesnt have as many stoppages as he went up in weight, but that doesnt make him past his prime.
His power at 122 was real good.
In fairness it looked like Morales hurt Maidana at 140lb when they fought.

    Add Zaragoza to that list.

He was a brilliant fighter, I fail to see how anybody can reason differently.
