Broner will be the face of boxing in 2015

How can anyone be the face of boxing when 75% of the people dislike you?
Even most African-Americans condemn his behaviour and think he's a ******.

 

How in the **** did he struggle with Ress? When he knocked him out in 5 rounds.

 

No we don't.

 

When people watch supposedly far more dominant fighters (Broner) fight supposedly far lesser fighters (Rees, Paulie), they dont match them up according to who will win - that is already forgone conclusion. They match them up according to the level of domination that the supposedly dominant fighter should be putting on the far inferior fighter. And on that scale, Broner fell far below expectations, with Rees and Paulie, thus he struggled.

Any top lightweight is supposed to dispose Rees far more easily than Broner did (who is a top p4p fighter apparently), and any top welterweight is supposed to dispose a 32 year old Paulie, which Broner wasnt even slightly close to doing. These are low standards that are being set for a fighter near Broner's hype, and he has not achieved them.

 

There is no logical answer. But lets wait for a few answers from some posters and see what their reasoning is. I'll bet that they sound crazy. Watch.

Yes, here is someone who thinks Broner has been performing firmly under-expectation. I dont know why you feel the need to announce it, rather than rebutting it. I need no introductions, thank you.

Broner will be the face of boxing ? I say Broner will be face first on the canvas in his next 3-4 fights , it all depends on the caliber of his opposition though , but that's just my opinion .

 

Broner can kiss that "0" goodbye if he fights Zab . I'm willing to bet anyone Broner will lose To Zab .

 

There is a chance he could be the face of boxing in the near future. Because lets be honest, pictures of his battered face will be posted everywhere if he fights matthysse.

 

It's insane how some of you actually think Broner is anything but "OK". This kid has feasted on bums and the only two good fighters he fought(Ponce/ Paulie) he had very close fights with both and he didn't look good. And Ponce is a featherweight that moved up and Paulie is slightly past it. Broner would lose to most Welterweights and Junior Welterweights. Broner clearly doesn't like having punches come his way and has never fought a good offensive fighter(Ponce has power but is crude) that is not afraid of him.

Broner is nothing but bait right now. Paulie put the hook in and cast him out and the minute and big fish comes by he's going to get taken..... Unless Haymon and GBP reel him in and put him back with the rest of the bait fish.

 

2013 & 2014 are Lucas Matthysse's years.

Nobody will overshadow him.

 

He has the pontential and hes only gonna get better. we shall see
