Good fight between these two, all I know is that I wouldn't bet against the Cubans either Gamboa or Rigondeux. That would be a foolish bet, I do not think Broner has either the hand speed or feet movement to keep up with Gamboa in that fight.

Nope. Broner tries to be a defensive fighter because Floyd is, and Gamboa is all offense. Once Gamby starts unloading Broner will be pretty much ****ed because his defense really isn't as good as Floyds is, and it needs to be when you're fighting a guy with Gamby's speed and power

Broner looked great tonight. I was most impressed with his timing and countering. But two fights ago Vincinte Martin Rodriguez had some success against him. Penetrating his defense at times before get hit by an uppercut and KO'd n the third. Broner may grow to exceed Marquez, but I don't see him beating an ATG when a C+, B fighter can get to him (even if Rodriguez's successes were temporary - he may have won the second round).

Broner has a decent defense (it looked great tonight), good hand speed, he is precise with his punches, has good power and is excellent at countering. I think Marquez was most flustered with Floyd's footwork though. While Broner's footwork is good, Floyd's is on another level. If Broner doesn't move his feet, Marquez will counter him all night. Broner may have power, but I don't see him being able to catch Marquez with a single shot that hurts him so much that he is able to take him out. That's how Broner won his last 3 fights. JMM by UD.

Here is whats happening Floyds on the way out, he is in his mid 30s pissed away his best years on vacation and avoiding good fights that were out there for him.
Broner is an up coming young kid who is a Borderline Stalker *****, he loves Floyd and its ****ing obvious everything he does he tries to be Floyd its clear as ****in day.
Floyd fans who are stuck on Floyd just as Broner is cus there are two types of Floyd fans lets be honest one that actually makes sense and one thats full of nonsense, the 2nd of the two is looking around for the next guy they can cling to as there is not allot of flashy britney spears type fighters.

Broner is coming to take that spot and they welcome him with open arms...

anyways Gamboas my favorite fighter, Broners my 2nd....i used to think gamboa by UD but now it's starting to be more of a 50/50 fight. gamboa doesn't have a great chin and Broner hits hard.....Prime Katsidis was a very powerful punching lightweight and he couldn't hurt Escobedo. I think Broner cleans up at LW but if Gamboa moves there it's 50/50, either Gamboa outhustles him or he stops Gamboa. I didn't want this to happen cause i'm a huge fan of both guys but it really is the best fight to be made in boxing right now so I'm for it.

Broner has everything Floyd has except the defense. He'll win early rounds with Marquez, but in a toe to toe battle Jmm will get some shots in. Comes down to who better counterpuncher will be. I repeat, Broner's lack of defense would cost him fight late in the fight. It might be like Chavez-Taylor all over again. Flashy and skillful as Broner may be, he gots his flaws and I liked what I saw from Thurman actually.
