Sounds to me like Broner and Burns are closer to agreeing on a fight and team Broners trying to hype him up so that they look like they whupped someone that's better than he is.

Burns is a damn good fighter but before Broner moved up he was clearly #3 behind #1 Vazquez and #2 Demarco. Fact. This to me is good news though as it makes me think a Broner vs Burns fights might actually be int he works.

Let's hope so. So many top fights don't go ahead, it's a disgrace.

I got Broner UD though I like Burns more. :good

    Ring ratings:

    1. Broner
    2. Vasquez
    3. Demarco
    4. Burns

They are all still ranked higher than Burns!

Guess that shows what they think of Ricky.

I'm still far from confident about the outcome but what a boost for fans it would be if they can pull this off.
Sadly, over here we know there's always cause to fear the worst when it comes to a certain promoter.:-(

Burns, will cope a flat out hammering at the hands of broner, I think hbo are going to put big $ into broner and make him into a ppv fighter in the next 1 to 2 years.

In all seriousness, Burns has no chance in this. I wouldn't mind if Broner just skipped him and went for 140 right away. Wouldn't mind a fight between them either, but I see no other result than Broner absolutely smoking the Enlishman.

Very true, funny how many divisions have that feeling though, Mini, Light Fly, Fly, Super Fly, Feather, Super Feather, Light, Light Welter (Garcia has a strong claim though), Welterweight, Light Mid, Light Heavy, Cruiser...

Shows what they think of Demarco, seeing as Burns has the better lightweight resume of him and Vazquez..

let's see, Abril, Rios, Alvarado, Perez, Prescott, Katsidis, Mitchell, Murray, Burns, to me, Burns looked the best amongst all of them

    check the records

Ring mag has Vazquez number one for months on end, yet Broner beats the number two (Demarco), and suddenly bypasses Vazquez to the top..?

aw, I am quite let down

Yes, but the point is he was never THE top guy...

    ever

"your son just beat the number one guy in the division"

no he ****in didn't, Burns would hand Demarco his ass, he was just waitin for somebody to take his title off him.

Hell, lightweight Khan would have beaten Broner

Now the only thing left is for Burns' overrated ass to come to the US and get his ass whooped by Broner. They both seem to want the fight, so it's up to Ricky now.
