what do you think is it?
and if you think it is wrong, what do you think is the right one?

i saw try to walk down a puncher. it might work but not on the first few rounds.

he should of boxed, stick and move, clinch when maidana is in punching range in the beginning until he can sense maidana beginning to tire.

He watched Alexander & Khan outbox Maidana and thought it would be an easy night for him.

Broner & Maidana are both slow starters... problem was Garcia noticed this and told Maidana to start very fast and it fcked Broner right up.

His footwork is ****. You can't beat Maidana if you don't use your feet. His holding and pushing didn't help..Alexander knows how to hold..Khan knew how to move away. Broner didn't do either well..

You discourage Broner and he stops throwing punches. That's pretty much what happened for the whole fight + concussion. Maidana started to fade towards the end but that should have been expected with his near 1000 punch workrate.

Where did Broner go wrong? The wrong cherry pick. You see how many people Broner needs for confidence and mental support lol?

    Crying to the ref
    Jumping on the floor
Shaking his head telling Maidana he can't hit him in round 11 after he just his ass kicked.

Broner just sucks. If he goes down to 135 to beat up small men again then he is no champion. Needs to go to 140 and fight PEDerson or someone.

Survive for 12 rounds and hope the judges give him another gift.

He didn't have a gameplan. He started to believe his own hype and thought he could just show up and Maidana would just lie down.

    Yep

He thought he could walk Maidana down. There's a huge difference between believing you will win and believing you can't lose.

He learned nothing from the Paulie fight. I was amazed to see him standing in front of Maidana. At least if you're going to stand in the pocket, try and counter. His inside game was awful too (what happened to the uppercut?)

Overall he just thought he had to show up to win, he was more worried about making a splash in doing so by showboating, dancing on the ring walk etc to maximize 'entertainment' value than he was about Maidana

I think Broner just thought that he was better at everything. He believed the hype and felt that he could just show up, walk Chino down and have his way. Broner needs to study tape he is not experienced enough to just show up and adjust. In addition, Chino is a lot better under Garcia. Broner and his team was not prepared for Garcia's gameplan. I believe Broner was in shape though or else we would have been ko'd in round 2.

He may have been in shape for the fight but a few months ago he looked positively fat for a guy who had recently been a lightweight. He has to keep himself better in between fights in future

By the way, the right gameplan would have been to stick and move, keep the fight at range, use lateral movement and pick Maidana off at range with superior handspeed (Khan and Alexander did this). It wasn't a hard strategy to devise

you could see it that way or you can also say that that was what they worked on.

    back maidana down.

in one of rounds, the corner is heard " back him up some more, he is backing you up, dont let him back you up", to paraphrase.

either way, it showed he cant adjust.

or that he really took maidana very lightly, which is very surprising considering maidana is one of the big punchers around.

It would have been but I don't think Broner could executed that from what I saw last night. Thurman can do it because he fights like this.

Maybe he isn't able and he is one-dimensional but I don't think it ever crossed his mind that he might need to stick and move: he believed he could just walk in and do what he did to Gavin Rees to Maidana. He didn't even try to adapt a gameplan or adjust

Maybe a loss like this will humble him he's too full of himself he's not PBF. I can't believe he had so little respect for his opponent I had a bad feeling when he came in rapping and dancing to the ring. That right there showed you his lack of focus for a big fight. He needs to take some time off and re-evaluate his career or he will not get any better.
