Buckland has earned ten of this type of payday before Sykes ever gets one.

PBFred is making some good points tho. this the KHAN PETERSON rematch!! everyone will be watching. so theyre gonna put a bum infront of Broner so he can shine and look spectacular and get his name out there even more and possibly gain more fans. its not that ridiculous, businesswise. theyre trying to build another big name/superstar. cant hate on that. at least Broner is actually talented.

I have no problem with wanting Broner to step up, in fact, I'm looking forward to it.

He needs a certain amount of money and double that for a world class fight. Only two networks are able to pay this and there are only so many dates. Just the way it is..

Go argue in a Broner vs Rios thread if you want to play in fantasyland.

I agree with this. Step down for Broner. Would have liked someone like a Martinez or something.

Sykes is a HUGE step down from Prince Eloy (even with Eloy being coked-out and undersized)

    Yes he has.

I'm not begrudging Sykes a once in a lifetime thing, but Buckland is far more worthy and i bet he ain't too happy with this news. Strange bit of matchmaking this IB.

It's this cherry-picking and predictability that puts people off the sport.

This ****ing fight was a substitute for Soto mathysse which had to be pushed back because HBO preffered broner... this is so much fail.

Think it was a GBP decision to put Soto on the Ortiz undercard at Staples.

That's a waste here. Stars get paid first and best. A lot of times there is virtually no under card matches of note. That is why Arum is fond of the split venue. Strange thing is Pac fans and Mayweather haters (not always the same) will argue that Mayweather only does good PPV numbers because of his opponent and strong under cards so keep this one bookmarked when they argue that later. :D
