I didn't pick Brook to win and I wouldn't pick him to beat Thurman either, but a welterweight champion challenging a middleweight champion by definition ,[and history supports this,] cannot be termed a farce.
It was disgusting. Brook claimed he was a better middleweight than welterweight - he isn't. That was a lie for a start. Less than 4 and a half rounds, fight hadn't even started heating up - and bam, easy way out. All that 'warrior' talk? Shameful. And I highly doubt he saw 'five Golovkins', that was rubbish.
He gave the fans a good fight, better than many Golovkin fights. It's not like they ended the fight the first time a punch landed. He fought a spirited fight for nearly 5 rounds and at least 3 of those rounds were fought with a with a cracked eye socket. He took enough punishment.
The voice of sanity and reason! Most refreshing among all these brave boys who haven't actually been in a ring.
I know he's talking rubbish about seeing 5, I've had a broken eye socket and was seeing fine once my opened back up....
Reading a load of nonsense on this thread. It was a good stoppage by Ingle and Brook's stock has risen after this fight. Middleweight's have been running from GGG, Brook didn't need asking twice and jumped up in weight when Eubank lost his pen.... he then gave GGG more to think about than these previous middleweight opponents have done.
Why did he choose to trade with GGG for four and a half rounds if he was just looking for a way out? And you think he, the hospital in which he was operated and the surgeon who carried it out all faked the operation on a broken eye socket? Or perhaps, just perhaps the injury was causing him problems with his vision - which is highly likely - and after 14 minutes of toe-to-toe action Ingle thought that this man he'd known since he was a boy, who'd stepped up two weight divisions to fight a human wrecking ball and was starting to ship punishment needed saving from himself and a beating - to live to fight another day. I've seen some stupidity expressed on this forum in the past, but you've just topped it all, champ. Total casual...
Theres been no mention of a operation to fix the broken eye socket which suprises me as they were quick to post pics of a broken eye socket but we havnt seen any pics of btook with stitches in his face after the op unless ive missed it of course
Brook went for tests last week.. waiting to see if doctor recommends surgery or let it heal naturally
It goes without saying that if its a bad brake it will need surgury. I did mine when i was 16 i was in surgury within a couple of days and its never been right since
Brook's corner saved his career and perhaps his life.........................Brook would have gotten knocked out cold if not for the stoppage..................Golovkin was beating Brook from one side of the ring to the other, Brook could not hurt Golovkin, but Golovkin broke Brook's eye socket with a punch.....................I had Golovkin winning rounds 1, 3, 4, 5 and gave one round to Brook, but even in the second round Golovkin's punches were doing the damage, brook's were now..............
