Brook beats Porter

Porter has looked better in recent fights as he stepped up in class. Brook hasn't even stepped up in class, haven't you learned from Cleverly and Price examples that you can not really judge how good of a fighter is from fighting journeymen and fringe contenders? Brook could fold in the first few rounds for all you know

 

Brook would have beaten both Alexander and Paulie in my opinion.

Brook hasn't fought enough world title contenders but let's not pretend Alexander and Paulie are elite level fighters.

 

Paulie fought a stupid ass fight. Porter climbed on him like a gorilla and beat him up on the inside over and over until he bludgeoned him into a pulp. OK he did foul Paulie nicely by holding his head with one hand and hitting with the other but still Paulie has only himself to blame.

Brook is a powerful enough dude to keep Porter from bossing him on the inside like that and lets be honest there's not too many similarities between Paulie and Brook ANYWAY. Thus there's no easily apparent reason why the Brook vs Porter fight will look anything like the Paulie vs Porter fight.

That said, it's still going to be tough for Brook to pull this one off.

 

I'd take porter over brook every time, really bad style match up for kell. Who knows though this is boxing and anything can happen.

 

I will be surprised if Kell even takes this fight against Porter.Fast Car will have to do some fast talking to explain this to the fans.

 

Hard to say when Brook is still barely fighting Euro level opponents. Would have Porter beating him right now.

 

Sir Kell schools Porter, wins the strap, shuts the haters up then A Mere Con comes crawling to Kell and Fast Car begging for the fight, which Sir Kell would take and brutally KO Con, ending the glass chin once and for all.

 

I agree Brook could win and I agree that Porter is getting a bit over rated/hyped recently but I also think Porter could beat Brook up. Porter has good speed and power and seems to have more fight in him (mentally) than Brook. Brook also has good power and speed and seems a bit better technically and a bit more classy in the ring.
Would favour Porter based on mentality and opposition faced but Brook isn't a no hoper.

 

Nobody knows how good Brook is because he has always been matched against such poor opposition. His most high profile win is Senchenko who was tko'd by Malignaggi fss and Kell has been a pro for how long ???
The guy is the very definition of over-hyped:deal

 

What has prevented Brook showing his talents 10 year into his professional career? The possibility is that he has picked up too many bad habits fighting poor opposition, but we'll see, hopefully the Porter fight gets made.

 

Will Brook still have any fans left if(when) the Porter fight doesn't materialise?
