Brook can hang with ANY 154... (Charlo/Lara/Hurd)

He is definitely a talent and people recognize that. That's basically the reason that despite Thurman edging out both Porter and Garcia, people still think Spence would beat Thurman because he stopped Brook.

That said I think 154 is a better fit for Brook than either 160 when he fought GGG or 147 when he fought Spence.

 

Brook would have beaten Spence if he didn't drain himself to **** making 147 after fighting Golovkin at 160.

154 is his natural weight class. Sadly even if he does well it still isn't what he would have been had he never fought Golovkin and Spence. He is still going to be a top fighter at 154 but honestly I favor Jermell Charlo over him right now. Hopefully we get to see that match.

 

And he would've beaten Golovkin if he didn't have to fatten up to 160?

 

If his eye's hold up, yes he can be competitive at this weight.

 

He can hang with them but does he have the same level of hunger? He has lost his size advantage now at this weight. When he steps in with an elite 154 he gets eaten alive.

Porter's ugly style makes him a difficult out, but he's really not that good. And neither is Danny.

 

Nobody eats Brook alive. He may not win but he isn't getting eaten alive by any fighter at 154lbs. Brook makes it competitive vs any of them..

 

I tell you what LMW is stacked at the top. Yeah the division itself sucks but Charlo, Lara, Hurd and Andrade are all elite talents.

Brook isn't a favourite against any of them imo.

As a top 5 these guys could all beat each other on a given night.

I think Charlo is probably the best of the bunch and hopefully we see the fights which prove who the number 1 is.

 

If he values his health he will stay away from Jarrett Hurd, them eyes weren't made for that kind of punishment.

Charlo would give him a life changing battering too

 

The retirement talk makes me think so. He said himself this is his last year. He’s looking for a cash out. If he retracts that statement then I’ll revise my opinion.

 

I would favour Brook to outbox Charlo from range just like Jackson and Vanes did. The only way I can see Charlo winning that fight is if Kell's eyes go again.

 

Didn't you listen to him after the fight. His back in the gym straight away and fighting in June. He wants to be a world champion again.
