i was so pleased when brook beat porter, after his poor opposition under ****** i thought finally the hearns would get brook the big fights.

why people are going mad about this is beyond me, im sure if Eddie and Kell had a choice they wouldnt take the fight but its a mandatory, at least it isnt PPV

Very poor fight but I understand why it's happening. I'd be surprised if the undercard was any good as this will be on regular Sky and Kell is on big money.

 

It is bitterly disappointing that this fight has to happen, I see why people are annoyed considering the opposition he has faced since becoming champion as we all know he is so much better than any of these opponents, hopefully he does get a big fight after this otherwise he will lose a lot of support.

 

Couldn't they just stick it on the Quigg vs Frampton fight? Its such a pointless fight that everyone just wants to see it over and done with... This should be Brooks primetime for fighting the worlds best but his career has stalled, again.

Just embarrassing. Brook's dined out on Khan's name for years. He's fought at best 2 top opponents in his entire career and he's 14 fights away from the sacred 49-0!

 

What do you do when you've told every fighter in your stable that he's a draw and should be headlining PPVs. In the UFC co-mains etc are more accepted. In boxing the aim is to take the fans money for bs fights.

 

I agree with the IBF that they actually enforce mandatory title fights, however with the wealth of talent in the Welterweight division how on earth did Bizier v Lawson get made as a final eliminator? Bizier won that fight and fair play but come on IBF!

 

If they don't fight the porter/thurman winner or fight for another title after this boring defence then brook and hearn will lose a lot of viewers

 

Exactly. Kind of like Martin who is now part of heavyweight history without having beaten anyone of any real note.
