Brook stops him inside 5 rounds. Meh fight.. But can understand why he's taking this route after some hard fights.
Despite the fact I've made no secret that PPV doesn't phase me that much, I have to agree this one is a bit of a stinker. I did say on another thread that i feared the worst because Whyte and Parker are obviously getting paid handsomely for this fight so clearly there isn't that much left in the coffers for the undercard boys - and girls. Brooks getting on my nerves now as well tbh, fair enough the Rabchenko fight as a come back is more than acceptable but this is taking the p!ss now. Looks like he's going down the same route he did after beating Porter for the WW IBF strap, bum central until a payday presents itself. If he fights nobodies until the inevtiable Khan PPV I'll lose all respect completely. I'm looking forward to Whyte v Parker and I said from the start, respect to both men. But IMO this could back fire on Whyte, and Parker. They're gonna have to serve up a real barn stormer of a main event otherwise PPV for everyone bar AJ may suffer big time. If Parker boxes like he has in his last few bouts and Dillian turns up to fight like he did against Allen / Helenius, Eddies in big trouble and Dillians paydays are over until he meets AJ again.
At least fights against donut and bizier were title defences This guy ain’t even a name The casuals will wank over his record though
Commonwealth level fight. No better than the Bizier fight, but least he was mandatory. Worse fight than the Rabchenko fight.
According to SSN “There is still plenty more too be added this week including one major title fight - roll on July 28!”
It is terrible when you take into account Sky Box Office average numbers. That's why Hearn prefers WWE type events like Haye-Bellew cos it brings in more money compared to 50/50 Matchups
The average is heavily skewed by AJ. Brook v Spence was a fight more than for the core fans and just below 300k isnt that bad. Not amazing but far from terrible.
I posted on here before that my biggest worry is Brook and Khan having poor fights to keep that fight alive and that's what's happening.
Isn’t this an eliminator? I’ve never heard of him but if it’s for a shot at a title I don’t see what the big problem is?
What worries me here, is the 'title fight' instead of 'world title fight'. Had plenty of people on FB and Twitter defending the card much to my chagrin. "You can afford it", "Don't like it don't pay" or "Fighters deserve a pay day" ****. Right. Off.
Fighting Ricky Summers in July means Buatsi will be fighting Kovalev,Beterbiev,Bivol and the like early next year?
