Speaking to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook gave his opinion on why talks broke down and how he got the opportunity – and what he really thinks of Chris Eubank senior:

“I think his dad is an idiot. I think his dad’s a joker. I can’t take him serious. What he did for the sport were unbelievable but I’m not liking him as a person how he’s going off. He’s ruining his son’s life, I don’t know who he thinks he is. He’s ruining the kid’s life.”

    He added:

“They had the same contract. Look how fast I agreed to the fight and I’m a world champion unbeaten, never been close to been beat. I signed the contract in quick time, he were messing about, dragging his feet, messing. He messed it up for his son, so I’m going to show him what’s what in this fight and take the titles of triple G.”

More and more people say that Eubank Sr sabotaged the fight between his son and Golovkin but there are still mongs on this forum that claim that Golovkin never wanted to fight CEJ.

What could he say? "Oh yea, I did sabotage the fight because I had cold feet about my son facing this guy".

At least now CEJ is better known on the MW scene as the guy that almost fought GGG.

This 1diot is proud of having agreed to be slaughtered. What a dumbass...

Let's see how is going your career after being smashed HARD by a MW. Maybe you wont be so proud if you are not the same anymore. Who knows.

 true but I expected a response, a few excuses or reasons.

Sr loves the limelight, loves the attention so I'm surprised he hasn't at least given an interview giving his side of things.

It would have been entertaining :yep

 this list of people Sr has upset, annoyed or don't speak to is getting rather long.

His long time friend and one time trainer Ronnie Davis must has the most patience any man has ever possessed :yep

I was watching a clip of him and roonie talking about their "relationship"

You could see how roonnie was zapped of all his energy the man is a broken he has been with eubanks for 30 years? its a miracle he is still functioning like a human being you can see has been beaten up mentally to the point he doesn't care anymore.

It's amazing how everybody is terrified when they see golovkin but the BUMS. Impressive. Top fighters are afraid, but TOTAL BUMS that know that are going to be totally destroyed in the ring because they know that they dont belong to that.... have no problem at all. Curious, at least.

Or completely false, who knows, decide yourself.

    :rofl poor old Ronnie.

I watched Eubank Sr on Louis Theroux again a couple of days ago, after all this I thought "has he always been this strange" :think

My memory said he had but I thought maybe he wasn't that bad, but my memory was correct, he looked a right strange one even back in 2002

    Man are you stupid.

I know this may take time for a small mind like you to comprehend the business side of boxing. I'll try to keep it simple and short.

Boxers with nothing to lose will jump at a payday and fight anyone. Boxers who have been crafted carefully by promoters and have a potential big future payday aren't willing to take the risk. A one sided lost or a devastating KO to these guys means losing out on a huge future earnings and money lost to the promoters who have invested in them.
