Pretty sure Khan only wanted Brook after seeing Froch vs Groves in Wembley... though I cant see Khan vs Brook being that big despite Khan fanbase

He is well known but not a box office star, the tickets would have to be at £15/20

Just accept it Khan and do the fight at the 02 arena or something, Khan just seems jealous that Froch vs Groves was such a huge draw and it annoys him considering the hate between Khan and Froch

Yes he has plenty of Asian fans because obviously he is top 2 ATG for them. Just go to any medicine / hospital university and you will find plenty of Khan fans

Bramall Lane is realistic. Wembley? No chance.

People only tune in to see Khan's china chin get smashed.

Khan is the bigger draw and Brook is the champ so I think 50/50 is fair. If either of them complains about 50/50 they're ducking imo.

Kell never had problems selling out 13500 before he was champ against pretty poor opposition so I'd say he brings minimum 20000 for a Wembley fight. Khan would appeal to a lot of the Asian community in London if it was at Wembley as well as anyone else who is fan down there (lol). Khan is the bigger name but mainly for been knocked out but Kell has the belt. Also depends on who they both fight in December and how they look but I don't think it will match Froch Groves, certainly not in speed of sale, more likely 60000 tickets will be released and the cap won't be raised IMO.

I'd say 50/50 with the major draw been an event at Wembley.

Kell's got two fights before a potential summer showdown against Khan. Let's see what kind of attendances and viewing figures Kell generates in the next two fights now he is IBF Champ. Before we get carried away with purses at this moment in time, the momentum is with Brook and his popularity is going to improve by this time next year. Khan should fight a top 10 welter in the mean time.

I think people are underestimating the popularity of the sport in this country. If its promoted right it wouldnt surprise me seeing something similar to Froch Groves 2.

    true

i think the discussions happening in this thread are premature

2 fights for both fighters can change everyhting... the fight is bigger... there would be more interest from america as well (ppvs)... too early to say anything

Ffs this **** is uneducated. No one likes china chin in the uk. I mean did you hear the boos ring out when he got interviewed at Froch, Groves? As for the Collazo win. Either you're fishing or you are a complete idiot.

Collazo was a former belt holder, by all accounts was robbed against Berto, lost very narrowly to a prime Hatton (although not at his best weight) gave Mosley a good fight, KO'd Ortiz (yes I know..) - Porters record is nit much if at all better in reality.

I'm not saying that I think he's better then Porter but it's not as ridiculous an
    Opinion as you make out

If to were to ask the general public who Kell Brook is, 99 out of 100 would say the girl with big tits that used to present the Big Breakfast.

I think some people don't have a basic knowledge about economics and how business works if they think Kell is going to get 50/50 or more as done are suggesting assuming the fight happens next year. Kell Brook selling out say 10k at the Sheffield arena is not going to help him in negotiations with a global name like Amir Khan it's nonsense. For whatever reasons he's not a well liked person but he is an extremely well known person who is marketable and this is the significant thing. A wembley fight would be a massive commercial event and it will be Amir khan who it will be marketed against not Kell Brook who is unknown. it will be Amir khan why the big sponsors both uk and international will buy into the fight, it will be Amir Khan who the talkshows want to interview prior to the fight, it's Khan why the Americans fans and US TV people will want to get on board, it's Khan who will be on the front or back pages. people need to understand that Team Khan will not allow Natchroom to control the money for the event - GBP will want a piece of the action so will khans own company
