Kell even if he beats Amir still has no following in America and you could say he doesn't currently have one outside of Sheffield...he doesn't have powerful backers like GBP/Al Haymon, he is not Hispanic/Latin American, he is not a drawer, Mayweather will probably be gone in 4 or so fights so will only be fighting mega names = no Floyd fight

And how much will kell be earning for his mandatory defences? Do you really think Showtime/HBO will come over to sheffield to cover kell v Chaves for example? khan is a mega millionaire, he will be continued to be paid millions to fight the likes of Lopez etc due to his contract and status in he biggest boxing market in the world.

He was paid over 1m US for Collazo. He has only fought on one undercard in the states and he is back headlining in the states in December. By all accounts Khan as the Mayweather fight all but sealed for May 15.

Khan hasn't had a notable win in 3 years.

Maybe he's an improved fighter under Hunter, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I think Sugar Hill would have been a better choice as a trainer, though.

His headlining fights in the US were mainly against US opposition and even they didn't sell well. 4000 comps for Garcia, and 1000 unsold tells it's own story about how popular Khan really is in the US.

Also how much do you really think the US networks will put up for a fight thats on in the middle of the afternoon, because it makes zero financial sense to have this anywhere but the UK, meaning US draw is literally irrelevant.

And Khans UK PPV numbers are far from spectacular, to the point where he ran to Primetime because Sky refused to put him on Box Office (which says something when they gladly served up Haye-Harrison).

Kell's only just arrived on the world level and US comparison is worthless anyway at the minute. Kell's star continues to get brighter while Khans gets dimmer by the fight. Brook could fight in Sheffield for two years making good money, and possibly after a couple of defenses and the Sky Sports News treatment head over to Box Office like Froch did. At which point anything Khan has going on in America really would be worthless. I don't see him doing that however, I'm hoping the Khan fight gets made. Anything other than 50/50 in the UK is stupid though.

Khan can have the $100,000 that Epix or whichever other none descript US channel takes the fight on at an unsociable time.

Khan is one of those sportsmen whose name transcends his sport.Where is the evidence that he is not generally well liked especially by the casual fans who would make this into a mega event.?He has good connections in the US.Im not going to repeat why we like to watch his fights on the edge of our seats. There are lots of reasons why if it is properly marketed that in becomes a sporting event rather than a boxing match.Like Amir want Kell to win:lol:

Mayweather should demand that Khan and Kell fight each other to get their shot at him. This way, whoever wins that fight takes all the fans and has a huge following from been involved in such a massive event at Wembley. The Wembley event itself would make a huge amount of hype across the UK and the world for a Mayweather fight.

I would hate to see Khan get a shot after getting consistently destroyed at light welterweight and achieving zero at Welterweight. Would really pump up his undeserved sense of arrogance.

When I said all the fans I meant the 80000 at Wembley plus hundreds of thousands watching, minus Khans 7 fans.

Khan's more than deserving of a shot at Mayweather. Beating Guerrero or Alexander would cement that claim. If past opponents are any indication on who deserves at shot at Mayweather, Khan's earned his shot already. I only thought he lost once at light welterweight and that was to the lineal champ, Garcia.
