Commentary designed entirely around blowing the British/Irish fighter rather than reporting what's actually happening. Macklin is doing better than expected, but not really doing much beyond that.

 

Closer round.... I'll put on my tinted glasses and go with Macklin again. Doing a good job frustrating Martinez don't think he was expecting this tonight.

 

Fight is heating up. Martinez giving a nice warning to Macklin he can strike any time and Macklin showing Martinez he is in there to win.

 

This is one of those fights you can score pretty much however you want tbh. Martinez is still moving way too much for my liking and Macklin not really throwing enough. Dull fight but it is a bit interesting

 

Macklin's blindsiding him quite a bit when he steps around to the left and brings the right hand with him. Martinez's quantity - rather than quality - of movement is dictating that he can't do it too often though.

Macklin will do well to keep his pace a little slower for a couple more rounds, then start blazing late on sergio when his legs start feeling the pace.

He has a habit of taking a few rounds off and coming on strong again.

That was a very good round Macklin started to land a bit more and Martinez added a punch or two into his one shot he has been looking for
