I think we have to factor in 40,000 Yorkies, full to the brim with warm bitter beer outta plastic pint pots and baying for blood. People say it's just two men in the ring when the bell goes, but I'm sure Brook will not suffer a lack of grit or determination fighting in his home town, with cheers meeting every blow he lands and a desire not to let down his fans fueling him in the tough times. Spence may win, but not through wanting it more...

I actually think brook proved he has a great chin v GGG. Looked shakey in rd1 but took shots after that, it was the eye that let him down

Difference is Chavez hadn't fought at 164.5 or close to it for like 5 years and, in my opinion, turned up for the pay

Brook has made 147 his whole career and clearly cares about winning otherwise he could have just vacated and gone elsewhere. This isn't the biggest payday fight he could realistically have had I wouldn't imagine

What match have you seen Spence pushed to the brink for him to showcase this mythical grit and determination you speak of? All I've seen him in with is Gavin, Bizier and Dan level guys, not Porter or GGG level guys. Thurman couldn't dissuade Porter, Broner couldn't dissuade Porter, Berto couldn't dissuade Porter, yet the sharpness and accuracy of Brook's counters froze him in his tracks several times, like with Mayweather and Ward, if you're an accurate puncher, you don't have to be heavy handed to give pause to your opponent, well Brook is heavy handed and every bit as accurate, and will give pause to Spence. Spence will not walk down Brook, he'll be inhibited from his fear of counters therefore he won't be able to do the appropriate amount of damage from body work that usually leads to his victory via accumulation TKO, then it'll turn into a tactical boxing match, that could possibly be close, and if its close in that regard, its in the UK, Spence won't win. But since Brook is the better boxer, he'll win a UD straight up.

I think that Spence wants it more and I think that he will show that in winning by decision or stoppage.

Like I said, It's not about weight but skills, and all you have to do is look at 154 and you will know why Brook chose to stay at 147.

It DOES NOT matter if Spence wants it more, you can have all the grit and determination you want, but if you continue to eat nasty uppercuts, savage straight right, counter left hooks and brutal one twos, your grit and determination will involuntarily begin to wane, whether you want it to or not.

Why is Spence bragging about sparring with 200 pound fighters?

Lennox Lewis said he used to get beat up all the time by little fighters.....it almost made him quit boxing.

It was a body shot that hurt him in round 1, but he came back and won the rest of the round convincingly. It this fight comes down to grit, determination and durability then Brook will win.

This 148 pounds is still drained weight...although he looked pretty damn good...that extra 1 lb will be tough Brook is a big lad but will make it

Will be a good 157-60 pounds come fight night.

Brook had been there and Spence haven't, Brook wants it for his fans but Spence wants it for himself.

So, do you think that Spence is just going to be standing there letting Brook do all that. That same display of voracity will be coming at Brook also and grit and determination will play a big factor in who wins this fight. I think that Spence has the edge in that.

Brook would of made more money fighting Khan even accepting the Khan's terms and being the B side fighter.

I found Thurmans comments about Brook not proving himself against a top WW yet funny. Brook dealt with Porter a lot easier than Thurman did. Thurman couldn't keep Porter away and got hurt to the body. Brook timed Porter coming in like nobody has done.

This. It's easy to walk someone down who doesn't fight back.

Brook has no power to bother an elite fighter. And he is no puncher. I admit the short hooks he throws when someone comes in on him are accurate early in a fight before he tires. But that does not make him a puncher. There's nothing on them. His jab is weak and very inaccurate. Brook is mostly a shoeshiner. All he's got going for him is judges like shoeshiners. And his chin is good.

Brook's competition has been pathetic. He has literally beaten nobody.

In reality he lost to Porter and got a gift decision. And the only reason he had any success against GGG was because GGG saw in the first round Brook had nothing, but didn't want to end the fight then, so he carried him in rounds 2 and 3. Still he managed to crack Brook's head with a jab.

    Brook is not that good.
