He's not strong enough to hold Porter.

Why do you say that? He could of held against the ropes, but he didn't. That's not his style.

Yeah nobody can argue with this,I don't know how rankings work but resume wise Brooks is poor with only Porter although that shouldn't. One as a surprise cause we know Porter will get it on with everyone,if Hearn is to be believed Thurman wanted nothing of Kell Brook and all of em inc Brook go silent about Spence?

He looked weak on the inside vs Porter.

I don't think he tried to impose his strength. He went out there and used his skills to best porter, which was more impressive to me.

Hearn said he offered a Brook fight to Spence's team and they turned it down.

If they go silent about Spence it's because he isn't a champion or big name. These guys only really talk about the champion's and big name guys.

He was impressive to me in a way. He showed heart and some skills but he was losing when they were fighting on the inside imo. When they were in close and Thurman was against the ropes, Porter was having more success and was winning those rounds or those parts of the rounds and Thurman seemed unable to do anything about it. Keith had to make up for that by having success on the outside and at mid range.

I would favor Brook against Thurman. Just a slight favorite. So yes, one person conciders Brook the best WW h2h. That being said - due to resume - Thurman ranks higher.

Hopefully one day we find out - maybe at 154 in the future.

Brook is levels above anyone GGG has fought, if he fills out well at MW he beats everyone on Golovkins resume handily.

So many fanboys on ESB these days, no real fans of boxing. Some of you just don't get it.

CST i know you love you some special k, dont tell me you think anyone on GGG's resume could beat him.

GGG will still whip him and so would CEJ, BJS and Jacobs. However there are levels and Lemieux and Murray aren't skilled enough to beat Brook!

I actually don't think it's THAT bad a fight most fighters end up 1/2 division above where they start, a few different points for an objective perspective.
    1. Brook and Golovkin are really the same guy both champs in GGG's case unified who both seem to can't make fight's for whatever reason, both sport subpar resumes under the excuse of mandatory with Porter and Geale likely being the best opponent for both, both also rated #1 based more off assumptions than achievements
2.Most WW weigh in around low mid 60's what would likely be a 10lb fight night difference isn't much and can be found in fights against guys in the same division let alone 2 divisions apart.
    3. To Brooks credit he is the IBF WW Champ looks good on paper and even with the weight difference he'd still be considered the most skilled fighter on GGG resume.
4.While I don't think it's the worse fight Golovkin should get hella flack for this fight, all this 54-68 talk and the excuses you hear for why GGG doesn't have to do anything and others have to bend and be great for him Brook for his overratedness should get props for showing a level of b@lls Golovkin has yet to show.
    5. Everyone's gonna argue duck but the same money Brook getting is the same price other fighters have said they'd make the same fight for i.e. Jacobs, Saunders(def not defending them on that), guys like Lara who somehow has promoter issues yet Jacobs has the same promoter and during the Wade fight who is also with the same outfit they say they have no problem working with them. Ramirez got injured but when that fight was brought up all you heard was build it up not a name etc.. yet when bigger fighters pull that same card on GGG its outrage, GGG fans are waiting for JMWs to move up and make MW better yet have every excuse when GGG is asked to move up....... GGG fan need to stop the flip flopping.
6.Final point no need to start bringing up these past comparisons to try and justify this fight. Canelo-Khan was basically a JMW fight with a MW Tilte on the line, Canelo is more accomplished than GGG and Khan is more accomplished and known than Brook if you look at the top WW wins between Brook and Khan 1. might be Porter but 2.Alexander,3.Algeri,4.Callazo would arguably be the next best wins. Khan is a ducking clown but Brooks entire WW career has been a joke outside of Porter.
Hopkins beat Hoya, Trinidad who were both MW Champions one a 6 weight the other a 3 weight champion and HOF Greats.
Mayweather beat Marquez off a retirement JMM was Lineal LW Champ a 3 weight champ P4P #2 and arguably beat Pacquiao in fight II the year before facing PBF went on to become a 4-division Titlist winning at 140 arguably beat many 2x in fight III & IV at WW the last a KO win and loss a close SD to Bradley who was unbeaten and P4P/WW champ.
when Hagler fought Hearns, Leonard,Duran etc.. all were already established Greats and All had won Tiles at JMW before hand, and ent on to win titles as fight as SMW and LHW.
Those were GREATS fighting GREATS Golovkin has never beat anybody good or remotely great in his career and is still really unproven. Brook to his credit has the Porter championship win in a ugly fight, but is largely untested as well in that retrospect they are comparable but on a wayyyyy lesser level.
    7. final, final point this is how you get fight's done K2 should takes notes put the money up and it will happen.
