Nothing to be impressed about. He looks like a soft 170-175 lbs. Sure he'll be fit and strong on fight night, but he'll still be carrying artificial weight, while Golovkin will be his usual lean and ripped and will have 8-10 of real weight over him.

    Probably insulin bloat.

For those who do not know insulin is often used as a PED. It is the most anabolic hormone and has an incredible nutrient shuttling effect and it is not tested for.

There are many boxers who look soft even at the weigh in lol why are they not dropping more weight? I didn't realise to be a good fighter you have to be single digits body fats and drained to the max from a water cut... as said he looks fine at this stage of camp. I'm sure he'l look leaner by the time weigh ins come but remember body image doesn't win fights, performance does... if he performs better with a slight bit of body fat then keep it...

Theres a tonne of fighters i see on weigh in day and you can clearly tell then could lose more body fat and make a lower weight, they don't but still hold there own in there weight class...

people are taking this bloat stuff way too far, peoples stomachs tend to pop a little bit unless your sucking it in. A tiny pop does not mean somebody has insulin gut... jesus

what do you mean by artificial weight? muscle? How do you know what amount is 'artificial'? some guys are genetically muscular without doing anything? He's been making welter since he was an amateur, that shows you that he hasn't bulked up or anything over the years and gained a significant amount of 'artificial' weight. No doubt golovkin is clearly is the bigger man and has a bigger frame but I don't think it's as huge a deal as people make out.

If it was still same day weigh ins nobody would be saying a thing because both would be middleweights...........
