As impressed as I was that he never went down, Brook may have damaged his career in this fight. Every fighter he faces now will be targeting that eye socket. Those kinds of things tend to always be a problem, kind of like scar tissue bleeding easier.

He's lost the chance to make any big fights at 147 or 154. The ones who ducked him before wil redouble their efforts to avoid him.

Different level to anyone in those classes.

Don't exaggerate, please. Spence would defeat him, Thurman, Porter, Bradley even Khan and D. Garcia are on the same level as Brook (147). At 154 Canelo is obviously much better than him, Charlo brothers and Lara too, Andrade is questionable (let us say 50/50). Brook is brave, with solid skillset, and nothing more. I wish him all the best, he deserved the pay-day.

Porter was dismantled by brook in his own back yard. Thurman stifled against porter so brook would dispatch him with ease as well.
I take it you're joking when you talk about Bradley, Garcia and Khan. You were joking weren't you? You silly sod!

Canelo is ok but wouldn't live with kells speed or accuracy.

He'd beat both charlo brothers even if they were in the ring at the same time and Lara wouldn't even be a contest.

He's just too good. Eddie Hearns phone calls will be ignored a lot in the coming months.

Nah, his eye didn't look that bad. That's just what people want you to believe.. he was exposed by a WW, and Canelo whoops his ass. That said, Brook is probably the best WW in boxing.

His eye didn't take all that much damage, not like Margarito's orbital bone which was almost driven into his eyeball, unlike Tony, Brook is defensively sound and didn't stand there for another 8 or 9 rounds and let GGG hammer him in it, doing irreparable damage.

Brook still hae lots of options and has proved he is world class with a solid chin. Spence would be a great fight at 147 but i'm not sure he will want to boil down again. 154 has a alot of talent but brook has proven he can hang with any of them, GGG was too big and too strong, we still haven't seen what brook can really do at his best. I think he gives anybody at 154 trouble.

I agree, Brook can be a big player at 154, I mean damn Brook could still beat a lot of the guys at 160 but just not GGG.

brook looked a very solid 160 with no fat on him. highly motivated, with nothing to lose, fighting in his home country with the crowd roaring at his back. he did as well as he could.

    he should go to 154

This fight shows the difference between natural weight and added weight even if its pure muscle, I don't think brook has the muscle maturity at 160. Its like bodybuilders who are big but not as strong as people with less muscle. Muscle gains can come quicker than strength gains. That's why its always best to go up in weight slowly so the strength also comes with the new added weight.

As a result of last nights performance, none of the names at 147 will now face Brook. 147 isn't the division it used to be, Thurman is probably the next best after Brook and then Errol Spence. That is why Brook is going to 154.

Firstly it depends on how well it heals.

Secondly Brook could use it to his advantage. If he knows guys will be throwing left hands to target his eye, he can prepare for that and be ready and waiting to counter with them chocolate brownies.

Tbf though Golovkin has the same effect on natural middleweights. He takes their punches well and destroys them with his own punches.

You do know when bone heals, the place where the fracture was, actually reforms stronger than before?
