Hearn LETTING Brook fight GGG was a move that should be punishable by law. Hearn smiling all the way to the bank after Golovkin smashed Brook and ruined him for Errol Spence and his swoll nips and baby pecker to reap all of the glory.
Agreed, not only that Kell should have had a tune up before going world class again, Khan would have been the only fighter I'd have put Kell in with next
Hearn is a promoter, he works for Matchroom, not Kell Brook. His job is to put big exciting cards and make $$$$$. It's a responsibility of Brook's manager, trainer and his team to protect their fighter. Actually Hearn tried to talk him out of Spence fight, what a card that was.
A Khan fight only nets Brook half a can of fanta and a horsesh!t sandwich, the fight will never happen because Khan can't stand the thought of losing to Kell, which he would even now that Brook needs a white stick and a dog to make it to the ring.
kell did very well for himself for a contender who was never the best of any division, but managed to rise as high as 3rd best. little hindsight for some perspective.
But that's his job, to make biggest and most exciting cards. He had Brook headline 2 PPVs in a row, made him a millionaire. Who's Brook's manager? That's who needs to be sacked.
His dad. Kell has struggled to make 147lbs for a long time. The logical thing should have been to go to 154lbs after the Gavin fight.
I think brook needs to take the blame for the triple G fight, his eye sockets were bigger than his belly, well they are now anyway.
He should be thanking Eddie for giving him the paydays. Spence was a mandatory. If Kell really wanted legacy he and his team should have made Matchroom bring Thurman over after the Porter fight. Instead they were all wasting time trying to get Khan and gambled against Golovkin. They then gambled going down 2 weight divisions to fight Spence. I hope no other fighters get too brave and decide jumping two weight division either way is a good idea. Rarely has it worked out.
