I 'check'ed this out somewhere, apparently Hearn said theres a possibility they might get Brook another fight and look to get him a fight, not against Alexander, in Feb or March as they could be waiting a while for Alexander, then look for the title shot in around 6 months. Deja vu......

Hearn might throw him in there with a Collazo so they can match him up with a southpaw before Devon

Typical Brook career. This shouldn't surprise anyone.

if this happens it will be an absolute joke, we've been hearing how a title shot is next since lovemore ndou, if he keeps fighting gatekeepers hes gonna get a rude awakening when chucked in with a world level operator

If Alexander ****s him about and the ibf give him an extension then what is going to do sit on shelf for 6 months,Bunce willl have a field day and some people on here but if they have too keep him active they should do it low key on an undercard not as a headliner in Sheffield. There are only so many Saldavia fights people can take before they get bored

All the top level operators fight every 6 month.

So what if he gets another fight in the meantime, last night wasnt even a fight.

Waiting for Alexander, what else is he suppose to do....Both fought on the same night so on same fight timetables. Should be made.

IBF should enforce the mandatory fight on Alexander IMO.

Gotta feeling they don't want a piece of Devon if he his holding the belt. They want a guaranteed win for the first world title. Devon is a risk to his undefeated record.

Garcia is an easier fight and a better belt. If they can make that fight, then they can make the 1st defence vs Khan for his old belt.

Garcia is an accident waiting to happen. The exposure is coming, YA HEAR!

But all this is just talk, you watch, Brook vs (some 158th ranked fighter) in Sheffield. December time. All about protecting your fighters Eddie! Come on now! :good

as ashedward said, if he fights it should be on an undercard just to tick over, but even then he shouldn't need to, why bill his last fight as a final final eliminator if hes fighting again? its only six months he can do it, and thats worst case, they should sort out a fight with Alexander soon enough, its starting to sound like they dont think Brook is quite ready for this the amount of blocks they are putting in front of him getting a title shot, he could beat Alexander imo

hearn said he likes to keep brook busy, so if alexander takes a unification fight he will get brook out again in february. he said it in the press conference after the fight.

    Wouldn't do any harm.

Better than not fighting anyone before the fight with Devon can be made.
