it would be a good move for Brook if he has to wait until April-May for the IBF & possibly a warm up southpaw, anybody know if Brook's fought a southpaw before? Although I think that Alexander may vacate and go for Bradley......

this is normal, he is only the mandatory since yesterday, could be 6 months before a fight is agreed and a year before he hits the ring then hed prob lose anyway.

It means in reality that he's in a a good spot for a shot at any title, see what comes his way and stay busy meantime.

Hearn has backed himself in to a corner here. Nothing more then a ttle shot or a "big" name will do for Kell..... And I'm not talking about a washed up name either.

If Devon is planning on playing silly bollox bh ducking Brook In favour of a bigger pay day. I doubt there is a lot Eddie can do about it.

Some people are so quick to stick the boot in, if Alexander doesn't want to fight for 6 months then whats the problem with Kell fighting in the meantime?

i really wouldnt mind, but we've been hearing for ages now, before several fights, that win the next one and the one after will be a world title, then it always isn't, this time it was the "final final" eliminator so to not fight the champion next would be taking the ****. unless of course it really is a keep busy against a tricky southpaw on an undercard, then i wouldnt be too fussed, but still makes them look a bit silly. if they try and headline another show with brook then thats just trying to milk it and infers to me they dont think hes up to the task, they should be making sure alexander faces brook next or loses the title

    disgraceful

brook is fast becoming a joke

ducks a huge mega fight with bradley coming of his greatest win which would be watched by huge numbers in the US...

and now dragging his feet against the fight he "wanted"

Steve Lillis seems to think Hearn isn't expecting Alexander to accept immediately... Worried Devon is looking for a unification fight- Bradley is very likely as he's got no opponent set.

i think Hearn has managed Brook really well. Hes had good fights, been to america and mostly he has kept active.

That was Brook biggest problem before he got with Eddie.

Hearn is right. Kell cannot sit waiting for months. Alexander wont want to be fighting 4 times a year. Fighters like him and other big names in america never do. Kell needs to keep fighting.

He can take another fight before then anyway. He has months before he will ever get in the ring with alexander regardless of what happens. So he might as well get in there with someone else.

Alexander will fight someone else anyway i think. We all know what the bodies are like and how much they just bend over backward for american promoters to make more money. He will probs fight Mallinaggi or someone liike that.

Brook has time on his hands and one more good fight against a tough southpaw would deffo be a good thing. Just as long as he doesnt take too much time doing it and then hopefully get Alexander around march or april.

Some people need to realise how boxing works and that it never ever goes the way that people want.

Cant be arsed with waiting for another fight before the title fight.

We have waited long enough to see Brook show how good he is at World level, he clearly is good enough to mix it with the best, time to let him off the leash.

They should do all they can to face Alexander, if it means going and fighting him overthere, then do it.

The title fight should be next, and Hearn has to do absolutely everything in his power to enforce that mandatory and make sure Kell gets it. However, I really don't think it's going to be easy and I reckon the IBF and Alexander will play silly buggers and that title fight won't present itself for a while, whether it is eventually against Devon or not.

If that's the case then they need to put up or shut up - he needs to fight a big name championship caliber opponent in a tough fight. Usually I'd accept someone taking a bit of a gimme with a title shot just round the corner, but this has been going on to long.

And that there is the problem. He won't. If Alexander's people play hard, Hearn will be more than happy with that. It'll give him an excuse to allow Kell to feast on another bum.
