His mandatory obligation appears to be calling. With the Chavez fight postponed his mandatory has come up so it looks like Kevin Bizier instead of rescheduling the Chavez fight.

So far people have been slating Brook for this fight. Although its not a great fight, especially seeing how he lost to Dan, it is his mandatory. He has to fight him.

Lets just hope they get this fight on very soon, get it out the way then go for Chavez or someone else decent by at least May.

Just depends on the injury i guess.

Whats people thoughts on the fight anyway.

    That the injury was non-existent.

Kell has gone backwards since winning the title. It's the worst thing to happen to him.

Once he realises that NOBODY needs him when he HAS a belt, maybe he will ditch it and move on. Either do that, or sack Eddie off and move to the states and join Top Rank. He'd get so many fights out there.

So in nearly two years we've had...

    Dan
    Gavin
    This guy

Not ONE of them is world class. Barely euro-level, in all honesty.

All this "the next one is a big one" is a lie, simple.

Time is not on Kell's side. He's nearly 40 fights into a 12 year career and he's STILL at this level? Come on, Kell. You're either stupid, you don't want the best or you're oblivious to this.

Eddie is just as bad. He hasn't done a thing for Kell since this title win.

And the beauty of him going for the IBF? They MAKE YOU face your mandatory. That's sweet for Eddie at the moment, but I hope to god that it's Thurman or Spence soon. No more milking then!

    This fight is a joke.

147 is packed, but unfortunately no good fights are being made. I mean, Garcia v Guerrero - that is awful, as is Brook v Bizier; Bradley v Rios wasn't good either.

Has he not suffered badly from injuries, first the attack then the injury when pulled out of Chavez fight ?

Hearn can't get a name from the US to fight Kell so this is what we get in the interim.

He should send Kell to the states then!

Amaze's me how Boxers know that's their only option (to travel) but wait and wait and wait until they get a top name on home soil. Rarely happens.

An absolutely amazing fight. Massive props to Brook and Matchroom if they take it. Bizier is a massive risk, a murderous puncher with KO power in both hands. I can't pick a winner here. It's a proper 50/50.

More nonsense from the IBF. I'm all for mandatories but they need to sort their ranking system out. Having Dan and then this guy one after another is totally unacceptable. If you're not presenting a credible challenger why bother enforcing mandatory defences on fighters?

it must be a bitter pill to swallow for them in being forced to pay some tax on the money they earn for once :)
