    yeah no doubt....

im getting annoyed because i firmly believe Brook would beat or at least give a good fight to any WW out there and he is getting no younger....

He has a belt he could be fighting name after name, ive seen him even say he wants all them fights where he is underdog or that people think he will get beat...like Porter fight

better fight soon before he eats his way up to Light heavy:D

doubt it still risky fight far easier fights for less cash and kell can be hurt (jones fight) plus u no provodknkov is ther the full 12 rounds personally would like to see him fight broner .think kell would stop him or a fight with maidana but weather he can get down to weight again is another issue

To be fair there is no one else that is available for October that will come to the UK.

No, there will be NOBODY that will come to the UK. And that will suit Eddie just fine.

I liked the idea of Chavez vs Alexander been mandatory. Best mandatory I've seen in ages leaving him free to fight Rios/ Provodnikov then Khan or Bradley next. Sounds silly but these really are the fights Brook should be having whilst the welterweight division is still no 1.

Pretty poor fight but it'll be bundled with the Fury fight if Sky get the rights to that.

I think this is a better (and tougher) fight than Rios (maybe even tougher than Porter was)

Chaves is no joke, was beating Rios handily and gave both Thurman and Bradley fits.

Plus he can bang and has a chin, can brawl and has skills, outside of the big players in the division he's the best around.

Tbh it wouldn't surprise me if he actually beat Brook.

Something has to give regarding hearn/sky and brook.

Hearn is not gonna pay the big $$$ to bring fighters over so kell is gonna have to go to the states. That's the only way these big fights are gonna happen.

I understand sky see brook as a PPV fighter but he is missing out on fights he should be involved in.

Yes nobody of the calibre you are talking about. Will Thurman, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Garcia or anyone of that quality come to the UK in October? No chance and we know the Khan wont happen yet at least until next summer.

They won't come anyway, and Kell just isn't highly regarded.

If Kell wants the big fights he will have to travel, simple.

And why does Kell "have|" to fight in October? Can't get a meaningful fight? Take the year off. Why waste a camp on a bum?

ALL I hear from whiny British fighters is "I want so & so" - well f*cking travel then! You can't face can after can at home and moan about not getting the fights you want!

Besides, do these "fighters" not have any backbone? Can't they just say "Look, I want to fight the best. Fighting someone ranked No.9 when I'm ranked No.2/3 is not good enough. I'm not having it!".

NOBODY at WW gives a sh*t about Kell, this is a fact.

    Amir? He's chasing Floyd.
Floyd? He's winding down on b*ms like Berto.
Manny? Who knows what his next move is?
JMM? He should just retire as he is dragging it out.

    So...

    Bradley
    Thurman
    Maidana

Why can't those fights be made?

NONE of them will travel to England. Fact. Besides, Kell is a WORLD CHAMPION, not a "Shefield Champion". He can defend that belt elsewhere.

I like Kell, but he is all talk (and a touch wet behind the ears). Face it, Amir don't wanna know, and the really big names don't know who you are. So travel (again) and beat a top fighter, as Eddie sure as s*it won't bring a top top fighter over here, no way. He's milking that belt for fun.

Okay and I agree to an extent, yes Kell does need to travel but Hearn doesn't have a promoters licence in the US to my knowledge and therefore he cant promote a show in the US, this then means that they have to be made an offer.

As for why does he have to fight in October, he doesn't. But I would rather see him face an average opponent in October than no one at all, surely any boxing fan would rather see an active champion and not one that holds the belt hostage and doesn't fight.

I'm not defending Kell by the way, he is a very good fighter but I'm not much of a fan personally, but those big names aren't going to come to the UK and that's that, whether he would travel or not though is something no one knows, but he cant just say to Al Haymon I'm coming to fight Thurman at the MGM in March, they have to make the offer to him for that fight.

Thing is, is that another so-so opponent just makes Kell's paper-thin resume look even worse than what it already is.

He's got the quantity for his record, he just needs the quality now. And fighting a non-elite name just won't cut it.
