Started a thread a few weeks back where i mentioned Jones as a clmeback opponent, allot of people said no way Hearn would make that fight and Brook woild fight a bum.
This is a pointless fight for Brook, why go back over old ground? He struggled to get past Jones the first time around and no one really wants to see this again, he's not going to get any respect for beating him again especially after his draw with Byrne. The fight makes little sense for Brook and Sky to put on in my eyes.
Jones deserves a rematch after his sterling effort in their first fight, he soaked up a lot of shots but kept on coming & was very close to winning. Brook needs to continue from the Saldivia fight, where he looked in much better condition. The Jones rematch will be an excellent barometer of how much (if at all) he's improved.
Is this actually made or speculation?Very surprised either way.This kind of thing doesn't happen very much these days.British boxer struggles with overseas opponent and brings him back for a return.More believable if Brook hadn't got the decision.If as said Jones first and Diaz second its not beating top tier opponents.Decent match ups yes,but not upping the level all that much.
To everybody saying this is a **** fight, offer alternatives. Who would you match Brook with? I started a thread last week and plenty of people seemed to like this fight. Brook hasn't had a fight for 9 months due to Injury, its not the main event?
Soto Karass would knock Brook into next week plus he's fighting Andre Berto so doubt he's available. Selcuk Aydin,Mike Jones,Randall Bailey maybe even Marcos Maidana Another Jones fight is completely pointless
Jquik I suggested Mike Jones in another thread a week or so ago but,I think it was USA Rob said he was moving up.Thought if that was the case it was a pity as a couple of years back all the pundits were saying it was an easy fight for Kell.I think it would be a great fight as I rate him over Carson.Dont like an Aydin fight due to his poor showing against Karrass but the other 2 you mention are fair IMO.Isnt Bailey a champion now?
Rememver lads this is a comeback fight aftrr a long lay off with injury this is a better fight than i expected. i agree its pointless but as a paying costomer i want to see good fights the last one was a ******* edge of your seat stuff hopefuly we will have another
