It's a okay fight, it's a fight leading to a title shot if he wins. If it wasn't a eliminator then it wouldn't be a good fight to make.
If he fights the winner of Jones-Bailey straight afterwards, I'll be happy with Kell's progression into the upper echelon of the division. Then, it's weak and he should start hunting serious scalps in a Froch-esque manner :hey
Good fight. Carson Jones is a better fighter than his record suggests IMO. Motorpoint will sell out again
For a guy without a world title to be fighting an international opponent in a genuine world title eliminator we can't really complain. Matchroom/Brook have seemed consistently serious about progressing to a world title shot, this is a clear move towards that, so I think it's a good fight, about perfect at this point. I just hope it really is the world title shot next, I don't trust boxing politics to let that happen until he's in the ring with a world champion standing opposite him!
I acually thought it was mike jones,i thought at last a serious fight for brook, thank the gods for that. Then i see 'carson', now everyone stopspouting bollocks, "he beat so and so, its a big step up" ect ect, come on admitt, you have all just seen his name somewhere and not really seen him fight? Im all for fighters fighting eliminators but how the **** many dus brrook have to fight before he fights someone BIG not just average
Jones has claimed (scene) that he was offered chance to fight Khan on 19th after Peterson debacle. He said no because he couldn't make 140lbs in time. He also said he's unsure if IBF will make this fight a eliminator, he trusts they will make a common sense decision.
who the ****s carson jones,he is less known than matt hatton ,hatton is ranked higher, looks like a step back down to me,as whats usual for brook. looked at his mediocre record, its just that, mediocre, beat some decent people but lost to not so decent people ****ed off with brook again now, after ALL these years if he was that good, and his team thought he was that good,he would be at the level of khan by now
