https://apple.news/A_sPsAkxwSaqWDRzWrYQNDw I’ve no idea if these are new quotes and I’ll start by saying I don’t believe it will happen but according to the article: Brook: “it’s got to happen this year” Khan: “"I think now is the right time to make that fight happen with Kell” Does anyone even care anymore? I know Khan has a massive following but he mentions Old Trafford in the article - maybe I’m being naive but I can’t see it being anywhere near that big now. For me my interest has gone from probably a 9.5/10 in 2016 to around a 4.5/10 today. I’d still like to see it but it matters very little now.
I would like to see it, too. Both clearly past prime but would be a good honest fight from world level operators. Both would love to win and hate to lose.
They both should have retired by now, Khan in particular, so the fight has lost a ton of relevance but they obviously need the money to set them up for retirement. If they insist on getting it on then it should be a cashout for both parties and when they’re done take the bag of loot and disappear for good they have nothing left to offer as fighters.
Nobody cares now, nobody. There's no belts on the line and no real pride at stake anymore, just two guys way past their best wanting to come to an agreement about making one last pay day.
This fight is clearly caught between Brook's wish for a payday that only Khan will generate for him. Khan could fight a bum - or Conor Benn - and probably earn just as much given his appeal in other markets. If Brook thinks, as he said last weekend, the fight is second only to Joshua-Fury in current earning stakes, he's on glue.
Glass eye against glass jaw, no thanks. A few years ago maybe but not now, just more fan fleecing is all it is.
I'll be watching it if it happens. Ditto David Haye's fight. I'll watch any decent boxing if it's on. It's the sport I love. I won't be paying a penny but I'll definitely be watching and I suspect most you will be as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing it tbh, would still be an entertaining night of boxing but I wouldn't be paying for it if it's headlining a PPV card no chance.im not sure the demand will be enough to pay them the money they expect either.
I’ve changed my mind about this fight. Both far past their best but both are/were world level boxers. This would’ve been absolutely superb in their prime, now at this stage in their careers I still feel it will be a genuinely good fight. It’s not PPV worthy though so hopefully it lands on DAZN. Frank Warren has got Maxwell v Ennis Brown or Cacace Woodstock headlining his next card (I genuinely don’t know which one is the headline?) and Eddie was trying to give us Benn vs Granados as a top headline fight Khan Brook even in this day and age shits on them even in today’s world. So count me in - at no extra cost.
Can't see dazn forking out millions on two past it fighters who aren't even on their roster.i know they've done so in the past but surely they want to invest money into their own stable now?get more money ploughed in to cards like the one in Liverpool is what I'd like.
I'd watch it but wouldn't pay ppv or for a ticket. Just wait for it to come on yt or somet similar. Brazen cash grab from both partys
Think this sums it up for me. If Meh was a boxing card this would top the bill. Few years ago it would've been something. Brook in particular now is a shadow of the fighter he once was.
