Ok. Theyve got this up over at ***********.Accorging to cameron dunkin (vargas manager) negotiations have been on going and are close to been made.
It looks as though the fight will be in englandvat the end of august and vargas has probably been offered a 7 figure sum.
This is a unification fight with brook ibf 147 and vargas wbo 147 strsps on the line.

Ok so it looks as though hearn is trying to get vargas over for brook which in itself is good and this is a fight kell can win so lets hope this fight gets signed

Until he sees the money he would earn in a UK PPV fight (at brammel Lane) compared to a US 5000 arena HBO fight.

Nonsense why would you not travel when the money is 3 or 4 times greater in the uk. I get he won't be keen on the idea but money talks boxers have short careers. Vargas isn't exactly looking like he will get many 7 figure pay days in his career.

It's a good fight chance of another belt which will tempt Garcia even more for a unification and it's a serious step up from Gavin and bizier!

Crazy how the UK is now the bigger money option for the majority of American fighters.

A good fight for Brook to double his number of world titles. Can't see Brook having any problems with Vargas whether it's held in the UK or the US. Just got to keep claiming those world titles and the likes of Khan will have to fight him.

Decent fight. Vargas has improved. Brook's fight to lose though.

So a rematch with Porter and possibly a fight with Algeri are on the cards, looking at their rankings?:lol:

    Just retire, Kell.

I honestly believe Kell Brook would starch Danny Garcia - far too disciplined for him and Vargas could be an easy night.

In fact, I pick Kell over almost every Welterweight...as long as fighting tomato cans hasn't made him soft! In terms of "good for his career" - I really think the two fights against Carson Jones (outside of Porter) taught him more than any of his last three fights and that's not right.

If its at the end of august it may not be at bramall lane. Got one of those new fangled pitches though so maybe.
