Before the fight, he was sparring some young and seasoned 160/168 and 154 pounders, and a 147 sammy vargas (the guy who fraught Amir Khan who commented that he cannot see how Khan take brooks power etc). John Fewkes commented on this before the fight when he went to Fuenventrura, how good form he was and how surprised he was once you study brook up close and not a far on TV.

To be fair when does a trainer ever says a fighter looks poor in camp...
1 fight doesnt mean he's shot but he's been around while. Tuff fight with Porter, Injurys v Spence and GGG and all the miles on the clock training etc 40ish fights in it's probably fair to say he's on the slide. How much will probably show up in his next fight.

I think he’s done at the very top level now. He’s coasted since that Spence loss. Thought in retrospect he boxed pretty well for the first 6 rounds that night but Spence broke him down. His key attributes in his prime where his speed, timing and accuracy. Mileage and age have chipped away at them.

He can still operate at fringe world level just about. Think he should cash in on a fight with Liam Smith, whom will really break him down imo.

Kill or be killed VS Smith isn't it.
No surprises what Liam is going to bring to the table and if Brook still has the speed and timing there he can probably win it....
That said I think there were enough signs for Brook Vs his last opponent - the amount of shots he took, how slow he looked etc that Brook doesn't have long left.
