I like your thought process on this, but the fight ended pretty quickly once G realized Kell was getting rounds and fighting well. G kicked into second gear and Kell had no answer and the rest is history.

Agreed, but Brook was fighting out of his skin to compete, he was being broken down subtly. No way Kel was making 12 even without the injury. To me that fight was the sign GGG was slipping, losing a step, he was noticeably slower I thought and hes got worse ever since

They reckon the fracture spreads across the face, hairline's, therefore making the other side more susceptible

The true reason is because Euwank Jr bottled it. The Brook fight was offered to Eubank but he pulled out just before the contract deadline came. Brook stepped in to save Hearn's card and that was that.

I was never a big fan of Kell's. I thought he was overrated and was lucky to beat Porter. But I have huge respect for him for taking on GG and Spence.

With hindsight, it was a bad decision. But Khan has never wanted the fight and he was frustrated that he'd only fought Porter.

Hearn offered him the opportunity to fight GG after he couldn't negotiate with Eubank Snr, and Kell took it.

It was never planned. He'd been trying to get the Vargas fight. But when the opportunity came he thought it was too good to turn down. And not only did he take the fight, he really went at GG and gave it is all. He didn't go in there just to survive and pick up the cheque.

Eubank Jr didn't bottle it. Jnr has got balls just like Kell.

It was his father who sabotaged the fight with his ridiculous demands. Hearn has confirmed that numerous times, and Snr has since acknowledged that he made a mistake.

The Eubank pull out gave the chance.
They clearly read too many forum posts calling GGG a hype job and bum-killer and thus believed they could win.

As for his 'bravery', let's remember he went in with a special little agreement. That agreement was that as soon as he got into trouble, he'd be pulled out. Not that the ref or doctor would stop it like normal, or he wouldn't make a count. They'd have a preemptive pull out basically. This isn't brave as a pro fighter, it's a safety net and a scam on the sport and fans.

In the end he got his orbital broken by a single punch, but that's a freaky punch, they would still have pulled him as soon as Golovkin turned it on in that last round. That was the deal. Think about that. Everyone goes expecting him to give his all and fight a war like Lemieux or others, maybe go out on his shield, that's how they sell the contest, but actually he knew that his corner was going to pull him out at the first sign of trouble, sparing him that kind of contest. What if a regular person was paid millions to get in with GGG and as soon as they got into trouble the towel goes in ... plenty would take that.

You can't be called brave if you have a preemptive pullout clause at the first sign of trouble. And it doesn't matter he was coming up in weight. He's really a huge draining 154 fighter and actually him and GGG were around the same weight in the ring.

100% Brit Level Sheffield steel. That's why. Clen and co wanted no part of GGG back then and it took a Brit Level 147 pounder to step up to the plate and make him look human for them to man-up and come out of hiding in the coop.

And Spence broke Brook's other eye with a savage billy goat butt from hell in round 8. It's hardly a coincidence the eye immediately starting swelling after that and the Sky commentary team started mentioning it had done so soon after. And if you see it in slow motion it landed right on the eye with force.

So you’re telling me, that breaking one side of someone’s face, easily makes the other side of their face inherently more breakable?

I remember Hearn saying it came around after CEJ lost his cojones and started putting ridiculous roadblocks in front of making the fight.

Same thing with Bellew against Usyk. He was never going to be able to do that over 12.
