My point went over your head, I wasn't talking about guys cherry picking. Just the inconsistent complaints. If you disagree with Brook, fine. I, personally, don't care too much about Brook's recent opposition. But fact is, his resume is weak.

 

But he wasn't meant to be fighting on May 30th until 5 weeks out.

Gavin was going to face Bizier in a final eliminator anyway. So any criticism is for Brook fighting at all on May 30th because he would be ordered to fight either Gavin or the guy Dan beat sooner or later.

 

And do you think that's Brook's fault? That's like saying it's Golovkin's fault Cotto hasn't fought him.

If Brook had a choice of every welterweight in the world (like Mayweather currently does) who do you think the top 5 on his list would be?

My point still stands: fans are not consistent in their complaints.

They don't have to be complaining about Brook, but they could still complain about his opposition. Stop getting so defensive because I used Brook as an example. His resume has been garbage, before he started looking for big fights.

he faced his number one he had to or else he'd lose his title, so no problem with the fight because that. Jo Jo Dan won two fights to be number 1. his only loses were robberys in turkey vs a turkish boxer (he's dumb for going to turkey to box)

Turkey is the last place anyone should go to box, the last Olympic qualifiers were held there and tons of boxers got robbed blind. Turkey did nothing at the world champs but ended up qualifying something like 6 boxers lmfao

 

Context is key. Neither guy is obviously the type of opponent that is considered a challenge. Mandatories, layoffs, etc. All these things need to be factored in.

On the plus side for Brook is that it was his 1st defense. On the negative, his opposition had been weak until that point. Overall, nott a good defense, but hardly worse than others. Unfortunately, it is becoming the status quo.

the IBF are always pretty fair with there mandatorys? He HAD to fight dan when he did or I believe he could of had one fight then fought dan if he wanted. He'd just come back from being stabbed, killed two birds with one stone - a routine fight and got his mandatory out of the way.
