Yeah it would of been good as Vargas was very beatable. I think beating Spence would put him in a great position. Spence without a title would still give brook major clout.

 

all i said was that losing an undefeated record affects a boxers appeal in the boxing world, which it does, not a criticism, just a statement of fact.

 

Can't you think for yourself? There's very little about England. We are the pound for pound world champions in terms of culture and historical achievment, actually.

 

It doesn't, though. Manny was always a prime draw after several losses. As was Ali. And many others.

 

do you think floyd's appeal would of been the same if he had a couple of losses on his record? his fights sold so well because people wanted to see him lose. do you think golovkin's appeal will be the same if he loses to jacobs?

 

If it was less, it would have been because he made it all about the 'o'. And he cherry-picked his opponents. Did it m,atter that Ali lost to Frazier? No, because Frazier was a legitimate opponent. The greatest fighters ever, of which Void isn't in the top 20 despite his precious '0', nearly all had losses which didn't really affect their careers or legacy.

If GGG loses to Jacobs his reputation will fall because he lost to a mediocre fighter, not because of some magical '0'.

So when it sells out in 1 day and does over 400,000 PPV buys I am expecting you to come back here and claim nobody cared.

 

Khan has a legit bad chin, brook I see evidence of a good chin.

 

Was anybody calling for this fight? Outside of hardcore Khan, Brooks and UK nationalists I just don't see it but not surprised if anybody is defending this garbage.

 

I want to see it. Khan's speed is going to make it interesting early, but once Brook starts timing that speed Khan is going to start getting pummeled. Brook TKO7

 

The insane drop in the GBP caused that fight with Vargas to fall thru.
Vargas wanted 2.5 mil US, which was about 2.1 GBP, or something to that effect, then Brexit, and it was 3X as much and the fight delayed by BOTH CAMPS.
In the meantime, the GBP bounced back nicely, and Brooke and GGG, and the world were treated to a big drama show in the UK and the fighters both made career paydays.

 

Brook will be a real ***** if he doesn't fight Spence next.
