Mosley took a close decision last night against Cano, Kell needs a big name to fight. seems a logical match to make.

More importantly could it be a final eliminator?

It's the sort of fight Brook should be looking at, Mosley despite being on the decline is still a name and could propel Brook into some big fights providing he wins, Brook wins on points in a close battle.

Brook wins, not because he is better but because Shane is shot to ****. loses to all the names at 147.

  4. I would rather see this than retreading old ground with Carson jones

Mosley may be past his best but cano is no mug and in last few years Shane has been the distance with floyd, manny and Canelo

If Shane's fighting for a pay check then this ain't bad for him either

As for who wins i would have to say Kell on points and if he doesn't then he has no future at top level

    I'd say Shane.

Cano isn't a clown, I thought he beat Malignaggi.... considering Shane has only fought about three times in four years it wasn't a bad win.

Still, he's way past his best, indeed I'd say he's never been the same fighter since Forrest nearly took his head off all those years ago....

Kell ought to be able to beat him, but I wouldn't put money on it. At some point he'll retreat with his chin in the air, and at some point Shane will land a big right hand.

If all the stars align Kell will be down for the count.

If Shane can turn it into a brawl he would win, it's a similar type of fight to Morales and Maidana IMO.

I watched the Mosley fight last night and I thought he looked a lot better than he has in other recent fights. Cano is a decent fighter, who probably deserved the nod over Malignaggi, so whilst Mosley is well past his best, he's a credible opponent for Brook. I think it's a very good fight for Brook too, actually, as even though Mosley is past it, there'd be a lot of media interest in the fight.

For me, Brook would win a decision, 8-4/9-3 or something like that. He'd need to fight careful because Mosley still has plenty of power but his superior speed would be key.

Shane after the fight said GB are looking at getting him the winner of maidana/Lopez or paulie/Broner.

That's a fair comment to be honest, Mosley can still whack and Brooks reflexes isn't as good as he thinks it is, its a tough fight to call.

Yeh it would be a good fight and name for Brook, he badly needs a decent name for his cv to be taken seriously especially in America. This Carson Jones fight is bull****! I understand its after a long lay off but Hearn should be looking to match him up with a decent opponent after this.

If brook wanted to make a statement he should maybe look at a Maidana fight, if he could do a better job than Khan did then more doors may open for him.

  10. As usual you know it all's really haven't got a clue when it comes to Brook, even this old version of Sugar would take Kelly to cleaners, the lad is ****, he scraped past Carson Jones and i guarantee he'll go life and death with him again.

I know its a Brit forum but you lads don't half hype this joker up, get a grip.

Shane isn't "shot", he's well past it, but he's not shot. He ain't getting battered or knocked out. Even the Canelo fight, when I rewatched that its shocking how well Shane did at times. He held his own in a lot of rounds against the bigger/younger guy.

Cano fight was very entertaining last night. Shane was in gunslinging mode!! Good stuff, rolled back the years. Shane is a true old school gunslinger and he's still got that in him. He's 30% of what he was, but it happens that 30% of what he was is still competitive.

How much was Mosley getting to face Cano, though? Can't imagine it was mega money. I think its realistic, Mosley is sensible enough to know he isn't going to be getting the kind of money he gets for facing Mayweather/Alvarez everytime coming off a poor run.
