Brook Vs Thurman Possible ?

Brook would be foolish to fight Thurman right now imo. Thurman would end him.

This would be a big fight, but if they continue to win, with Thurman hopefully being pushed as the poster boy of boxing on NBC, there's no reason the fight couldn't be much bigger.

 

It's too late. Thurman will tear that ass up right now.

 

Brook is arguably the only WW who can beat Thurman imo. Perhaps they will fight once Floyd and Pac retires and there's a large collection of vacated titles. It'd be like Wlad retiring and Wilder and Fury having a go for the vacated belts in 1 fight.

 

It's hard to see where Brook is at and if he's really good to go after his incident. He looked very immobile and I can see Thurman using his mobility to pop in and out with some small combinations for the majority of the fight and using good lateral movement. When Porter wasn't trying to mug Brook and he stayed outside in spots he had success but then went straight back to mugging.That being said if it's a very physical fight and he doesn't get Brook out in the first 8 rounds he is going to tire like he did in his last fight and Brook is going to hit him hard. They are both big fighters who will get hit with big shots during the fight it can go either way. This is a highly anticipated fight.

 

I want brook thurman next I don't see the point in waiting Hearn should strike while the irons hot and take on the American names

 

The iron isnt hot though,nobody except boxing fans talk about brook v thurman... they both need bigger wins. The fight will generate way more money in a year or 2 if both keep winning.. but right now it wont generate enough to say 'ok lets do it right now'

 

Brook will fight somebody poor in may but ranked & will fight rios july then fight his mandatory late this year id assume? I dnt blame brook though, just more hearn matchups, rios isnt much more than a name and anyone who can actually move on there feet beats him.

 

Marquez guns for a WW title.

Brook guns for a faded but future HOF scalp.

Makes too much sense not to happen.

I like one time, but he has just been hype so far, especially his ko power.

I think both fighters need to fight some more names before it can be seen as a big event.

Thurman struggled to take out a 40 year old and brook only has one serious name on his record.
