Brook UD in a close fight. Vargas seems pretty tough.

It's probably one of the best fights out of the available welterweights. Porter and Thurman are fighting, Spence fight may happen down the line but neither side want it now, Khan wants none, Bradley could happen but I think he's taking stock after the Pacquiao defeat, Garcia wants none, he is waiting for Mayweather.

Vargas has a chance but I think Brook by late TKO.

I'll be rooting for Vargas but Brook will probably take it. The fight is in Brook's home town.

I'll be impressed if Vargas doesn't test positive for something before this fight happens

Brook by points -- pretty wide margin.

Brook is definitely the superior boxer, plus he's a pretty big welter. He should be able to outbox Vargas and handle any pressure. I doubt he gets the KO but it's likely.

    Brook by decision.

At least he's in the top 10 welters unlike Khan :rofl

agree, always chooses the easiest option possible

it's def. a step up from the cab drivers he's been facing so have to give it to him there

Brook beats Vargas handily, Vargas should already have 2 losses (let's be honest Brook should have 1 as well), but Brook at least avenged his close one and is far more of a dynamic fighter. I still don't believe in Vargas's power, Bradley is just a spent force....

Almost like a mini tournament going on with Brook-Vargas and Thurman-Porter going on. Spence-Ponomarev looks like its next to happen aswell

Interesting to see who Garcia gets paired with next.
