This is the biggest fight of Kells life. If he manages to actually win and not get the "ole English Home stew" win he will be the first unified welter weight champ since "TBE".

If Vargs wins it will make his Timothy Bradley obsession seem even more legit as he stalks Bradley around the desert of the Inland Empire.:rofl

Boxing post May/Pac is looking good.

Same here. I guess it depends on who he fights like always in boxing.

Lets say he was fighting Broner then the hype would be real. Brook vs Vargas is a good fight, a unification match like everyone cries about.
There is no pleasing hardcore boxing fans :patsch, no wonder promoters just ****ing ignore us.

    We complain about everything.

When May vs Pac was finally announced all of a sudden Manny was old, shot, shell of a fighter after 5 years of arguing.

When Ward vs Kovalev was signed suddenly all of Krushers fanboys vanished (Kovalevthegoat, Krusher) and now the match that was once 100% a win for Kovaley looks like it wil be 50/50.:patsch

Crawford vs Postol. Some said Crawford was afraid when in fact he signed the contract first. Now there is no hype at all on a ****ing boxing forum for a unification fight, between the best at 140. NONE!!:patsch

All there is is who would have beat Mayweather and will GGG move up, WTF!!

Superb opportunity for Brook. Two belts will get him the real big fights he craves. It'd be great if he fought Canelo at some point.

Vargas is a B level fighter at best. There are much better challenges for Brook at 147 including Khan, Thurman, Spence or a rematch with Porter.

Anyway, given his pathetic competition since beating Porter, this is an exponential step up for Brook which is nice to see. Brook UD sounds about right.

I consider this a massive cherry pick. Awful fight, there's no way I'd be tuning in to that.

I'm glad Brook is stepping up his competition and unifying the belts.

In an ideal world he'll go Vargas, Bradley, Khan as his next 3 fights.

I hope him and Thurman can make the fight as well down the line.

Is there a WBC champ now?

We are talking about the same guy who lost easily to Bradley. He has no chance, he is the weakest guy at 147.
