Spot on. That is after all why they created the weight divisions in the first place, and now that there are so many the jumps in weight are mostly minuscule.

Gennady Golovkin wanted a CW at 164 against Andre Ward.

While not a big fan of them, I'm also not strongly opposed. Here is a quick small list of fighters off the top of my head who fought at CWs

    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Pernell Whitaker
    Floyd Mayweather
    Manny Pacquiao
    Miguel Cotto
    Saul Alvarez
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Kelly Pavlik

All disgraceful, all pathetic according to you.

The practice of trying to coerce world champions into catchweight defences of their world titles is b.s.

GGG is the middleweight champion. The middleweight limit is 160 pounds and the middleweight champion should be entitled to defend his title at the 160 pound limit.

Golovkin wants to clean out the middleweight division, then he might move up if there is a big fight.................I want to see him fight Saunders, Canelo and Jacobs next..............

Brook's corner was there to secure a payday, not to get their boy slaughtered.

TBH I had it 2-2 even. 3-1 is like the 4-1 for Canelo against Khan.

Laughing at the "could have been a classic" as if it was a close fight and GGG got a lucky break by injuring Brook. Brook got beaten up, plain and simple.

GGG was never going for a points win and boxed accordingly, it was clear he was trying to get Brook out from the second round onwards. Fair play to Brook for trying to go to war but a rematch would have the same result, GGG hits to hard for a big WW.

GGG said after he wanted to have a street fight and didn't respect brooks power, he walked through brooks biggest shots for fun.

And on top of making it a very entertaining fight it also has had the desired effect of some people now believing this fight somehow exposed him, eg billy Joe Saunders said he saw flaws

Gggs jab couldn't miss all night and was battering brook at will, if ggg wanted to make it a one sided beat down he could have done what he did against David lemuiex but he didn't he just went toe to toe and slugged it out

Bingo. And that was the smart move, even if he was sloppier than usual. It's best to take the fight out of the judges' hands when you're the visiting fighter, and fans would rather see a fighter take risks to entertain them than to box conservatively. That's how you maximize the visibility you get. The next time GGG fights in the UK, it's going to be a packed house.

I wish Lara had taken the same approach with Canelo. He had a golden opportunity to win new fans and win the fight.

it was in England so no surprize. Had Golovkin 3-1 up! I think Brook did better then expected so all people here gave brook rounds on emotion!

Truth is Golovkin took all brook had and broke him down if it had continued brook would have been kod in 5th! If not for injury (stupid to think that) whos to say that golovin wouldn't break his ribs in 5th or next rounds!

Golovin was too much for brook and did what he had to do and made it exciting.

Credit to brook he fought a brave fight din't dance around like coward! He could have done that and made it to late rounds!

Mayweather would laugh his head off at his post, you fight for the fans and you shouldn't be a boxer you fight to your own plan what ever it takes to win! never sell out

Provided they are all willing, and there are doubts about that to say the least, I'm sure GGG will be happy enough to fight them and beat them.

I gave Brook the first and second, could easily see why he takes the third too.
